Chapter 253 I Just Don't Want You to Misunderstand
After Dermot finished explaining, Evelyn casually said, "I was just asking where she is, why did you tell me so much?"
"I just don't want you to misunderstand." Dermot was somewhat helpless.
To think that he, Mr. Doyle, would one day have to be so low-key.
"It's none of your business, you don't need to explain to me." Evelyn sneered, as if Dermot's words implied that they had some kind of relationship.
Dermot was about to say something, but they had arrived at their destination, so he had to take back what he wanted to say, "We're here."
"Okay."
The car stopped, and the two walked into the exhibition together.
Evelyn thought she wouldn't go to the movies with Dermot, to avoid being seen and misunderstood. However, what she didn't expect was that as soon as they entered the venue, many people's eyes turned towards them, clearly recognizing Dermot.
Evelyn regretted it, she should have worn a mask.
"Mr. Doyle."
Someone quickly approached Dermot to greet him, seemingly curious about Evelyn's identity, "Is this... Mr. Doyle's girlfriend?"
"Not yet." Dermot's response made people think, not yet, but it doesn't mean it won't happen later.
Now everyone looked at Evelyn differently.
Evelyn gave Dermot a displeased look, "I'll go and take a look first, you can chat with them."
After saying that, without waiting for Dermot to speak, she walked straight to a nearby booth and started to sincerely appreciate the exhibits.
After looking at several booths in succession, Evelyn didn't have much interest, mainly because there wasn't anything that caught her attention.
She was still thinking about whether she could meet some talented designers at this exhibition. Since the company currently had no designers, it would be convenient to recruit a few of them.
But now it seemed that she had thought too much.
"How about it? Do you like any of them?" Dermot asked as he appeared beside her, surprising her with his mask on.
"What's with the mask?" Evelyn was puzzled.
"This way, nobody will recognize me. I finally came out with you to have a stroll, and I don't want to be disturbed by anyone," Dermot explained, feeling annoyed by the previous manager who came to greet him. If more people approached them, their outing would be ruined.
Evelyn felt warm inside but didn't let him off the hook. "It's inevitable. Mr. Doyle, you're a celebrity. No matter where you go, someone will recognize you."
"I've even made mistakes in recognizing people, so please don't tease me," Dermot sighed helplessly.
Evelyn didn't say anything more and continued to browse the exhibition.
Dermot silently followed behind her, buying anything she liked without hesitation. As he put it, he might have a shortage of many things, but not money.
While leisurely strolling, they lost track of time, and the afternoon passed by unknowingly.
When they came out of the exhibition hall, it was already dark outside. Dermot opened the car door and looked at Evelyn. "Shall we go to the supermarket first?"
"Eh," Evelyn nodded and thought for a moment before saying, "It's so late, why don't I treat you instead?"
Considering that Dermot had accompanied her for the whole afternoon, it was impossible to say that he wasn't tired. It was unnecessary for him to buy groceries and cook after returning home.
"It's alright. It's better to cook at home for a healthier meal," Dermot said as he had already sat in the car.
Healthier?
Judging from Dermot's usual routine, "healthy" was not a word associated with him.
Forget it, it didn't matter. If he wanted to tire himself, let him.
Evelyn got into the car, and it quickly started driving towards the nearest supermarket.
