Chapter 250 Are You Sure It Will Work?
Evelyn looked at the food in her bowl and felt that it would be a bit excessive to refuse.
But watching a movie doesn't seem suitable for her and Dermot's current relationship. Isn't it something that couples do together? But they are not a couple.
She hesitated, but Dermot saw it as unwillingness, which hurt him a lot.
Evelyn cleared her throat, "How about we choose something else? Watching a movie might be boring."
She still felt that it was inappropriate to watch a movie with Dermot. If they were seen by someone, they would assume that they have a certain relationship.
"I'm fine with anything, you choose." Dermot's eyes lit up. It didn't matter to him what they did as long as Evelyn was with him.
And watching a movie was Todd's idea. He said that it's popular to have a meal and watch a movie on a date nowadays, which made Dermot choose to invite Evelyn to watch a movie.
This posed a dilemma for Evelyn. She had never gone out aimlessly with a man before, excluding Aidan and the others, as their relationships were different in her eyes.
After some contemplation, Evelyn had an idea and said, "There seems to be a fashion exhibition in Moris City these days, how about we go and take a look together?"
Dermot felt helpless, he wanted to go out and spend time alone with Evelyn, but she was still thinking about work. He felt hurt, as if he wasn't attractive enough.
"You don't seem very willing? If you don't want to, it's okay." Dermot's tone carried a kind of disappointment.
"I don't want to go anymore..."
"No, I want to go." Dermot interrupted, joking aside, as long as he could be with Evelyn, he would be willing to go through fire and water, let alone going to see an exhibition.
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh, finding Dermot quite amusing for some reason.
After dinner, Dermot accompanied Evelyn to the company and waited for her downstairs.
At the clothing design company in the evening, Evelyn pushed open Sarah's office door and handed her a stack of well-drawn design sketches, saying, "Sarah, take a look at these. What do you think?"
Sarah took them and flipped through the pages one by one. With each flip, her eyes became more amazed.
Sarah finished looking at all the design sketches, her gaze towards Evelyn became burning with enthusiasm. "Sometimes I doubt whether it's because I'm such a good teacher, or because you, my talented apprentice, are gifted?"
"it's because you're a great teacher, Sarah." Evelyn smiled mischievously, making Sarah very pleased.
Sarah smiled but returned to seriousness, "Let's get down to business. These designs are stunning, but whether they will be accepted by consumers is uncertain."
"Moreover, we are aiming for high-end brands, and these designs seem a bit too youthful. Are you sure it will work?"
She had thought Evelyn's designs would lean towards maturity, as that is most people's first reaction, but she didn't expect Evelyn to surprise her.
Evelyn nodded, "I have considered all these factors. since we want to establish our own brand, we shouldn't be limited to just one style."
"We can attract everyone's attention with youthful designs now, and in the future, we can create mature styles. It doesn't have to be set in stone. No one says a brand can only have one style."
It is not uncommon for each clothing design brand to have several designers, each with their own unique style.
She was in charge of the designs, but in the future, it might be handed over to Sarah, or even new designers may be hired. Different styles are just a matter of time.
"Interesting. You make a good point. Let me have someone make a sample to see the effect." Sarah nodded and neatly put away the design sketches.
"What are you planning to do this afternoon? Will you accompany me for a walk outside?" Sarah asked. She had just arrived in Moris City and wasn't very familiar with it. She hadn't had much chance to explore yet.
