Chapter 426 I Still Care About Face

Dermot raised his head and finally shifted his gaze to Todd. "She went to Colombia?"

"Yes, she just left." Todd answered.

Dermot, who had been holding his breath all along, now felt as if he couldn't breathe at all. "Who did she go with?"

He didn't believe Evelyn went alone. She also wouldn’t have gone without a reason, so why would she go to Colombia? Todd hesitated, fearing that his CEO couldn't handle it.

"Greg?" He didn't even need Todd to say it. He could already guess that Greg was the only one from Colombia beside Evelyn. Who else could it be?

Todd nodded, feeling a little worried about Dermot's situation. "I think Ms. Kyte's trip to Colombia might be unrelated to Greg."

"Huh." A cold laugh, and Todd knew Dermot didn't believe a word of it. He had no choice. After all, he didn't know why Evelyn went to Colombia either.

"Or... should you go to Colombia and explain it to Ms. Kyte?" Todd tentatively suggested.

Dermot suddenly glared at him, very displeased. "Why should I go? In your opinion, am I so lowly? Does he not care about his reputation?"

Evelyn already thought he was a person full of lies. Why should he cling to her when she didn't want him? Was he so shameless? Todd didn't say anything. He didn't know what to say either.

Dermot was the kind of person he knew well, but he didn't dare say it.

"Okay, then I'll go busy myself." Todd felt that it was more reliable to leave quickly to avoid being affected. Dermot ignored him. At this moment, he was in no mood to pay attention to him.

Todd left, and Dermot sat alone in the office. Despite the pile of documents in front of him, he had no intention of dealing with them at all.

Greg... His mind lingered on Greg's name, while his face wore a resentful expression, clearly showing his great grievance.

On the plane, Greg sneezed. Evelyn opened her eyes and looked at him. "Are you catching a cold?"

"No," Greg shook his head, "Maybe someone is talking about me. After all, as you know, I'm quite sought after."

Evelyn was speechless and felt that his audacity was increasing. "Are we almost there?"

"Yes, we're almost there. The plane is already landing," Greg said. When she heard this, Evelyn sat up, no longer planning to go back to sleep.

"After we arrive, I'll go to the hotel first, and then visit your grandfather officially tomorrow," Evelyn said, already having made arrangements before coming.

Greg froze. "You're not staying at my place?"

Evelyn looked at him as if he was a fool. She had no relationship with Greg whatsoever, how could she stay at his place? If this were to be known by others, who knows what they would say?

"You don't need to worry about a hotel. Both my grandfather and I welcome you to stay with us." Greg didn't care about those rumors, especially since he had plans to marry Evelyn.

Leaning back in her chair, Evelyn asked with interest, "I noticed you often mention your grandfather, but rarely talk about your parents. Will your parents also welcoming me?"

She didn't think she was that welcome. Compared to the heiresses from Colombia, what was she? Greg furrowed his brows.

“Don’t mind them. It’s none of their business. I don’t need them to know about my affairs.”

He had grown up with his grandfather and had a distant relationship with his parents. Besides, Greg had always felt that he couldn't communicate with them, so he wouldn't contact them for long periods of time.

Evelyn found these; second-generation, rich kids interesting. It seemed like they all had trouble getting along with their parents, but she didn't know the reason behind it.
