Chapter 1259: Let Me Make One Thing Clear

Blake didn't mess around and got straight to the point with Dermot. The main reason he called them over today was to hash this out.

"Yeah, Mr. Kyte," Dermot nodded, owning up since everyone was already in the loop.

"Evelyn, since you’re cool with the proposal, I guess you're down to get hitched, right?" Blake asked, eyeing Evelyn.

It was clear Dermot was all in for the wedding, but Blake wasn't sure if his daughter was on the same page.

Evelyn had been through a rough marriage before, so he figured she'd be more careful about jumping into another one.

Evelyn was caught off guard for a sec, then glanced at Dermot beside her, who was also looking at her.

She stayed quiet for a moment, then finally nodded firmly. "Yeah, we're ready to tie the knot."

"Great, that's awesome," Blake sighed in relief. With Evelyn saying that, he knew she was over her past divorce and ready to move on.

Bella forced a bitter smile and asked, "So, when are you guys thinking of getting married?"

She and Blake had plans to travel the world, but with Evelyn and Dermot getting married, they'd definitely wait until after the wedding to take off.

This was good too; they wouldn't have to worry about Evelyn while they were away, knowing someone would be there for her.

"Ms. Calderon, we haven't nailed down a date yet. The proposal just went down last night, and we haven't really thought about when to get married," Dermot said, a bit helpless. With just one night, he hadn't had time to figure everything out.

Bella and Blake got it. The main reason they called the two over today was to talk wedding plans.

"Now that you’ve decided to get married, you should start planning the date," Blake said with a smile. "As for the wedding details, you guys can handle that. Your mom and I have different tastes, so we won't butt in."

Evelyn had no issues with Blake's words.

“Oh, it’s cool with me. Do whatever you want. I’m swamped at the hospital and don’t have time to deal with all this,” Evelyn said casually. She had no plans to get involved in the wedding planning, especially since Dermot promised he'd handle it.

Blake looked at Dermot, "So, Dermot, you’re flying solo on the wedding prep? Can you handle it? Bella and I are free, so hit us up if you need anything."

"Thanks, Mr. Kyte. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure the wedding is perfect and that Evelyn is happy." He already had some ideas, but a lot of details needed his personal touch, which would take time.

Blake patted him on the shoulder, his previous doubts about Dermot gone. "Alright, I trust you to handle it. But let me be clear: Evelyn is my only daughter. If you ever mess with her, I’ll make sure you pay for it."
