Chapter 1183: I Am Not an Adulterer

At the hotel entrance, Evelyn spotted Blake hanging out nearby and strolled over to him.

"Dad, how'd the chat with Bella go?" Evelyn asked.

Blake's face was a mix of emotions, with a dash of worry. "She said she ain't coming with us and wants us to leave Seabrook City."

"Dad, chill. What she says doesn't matter. What's important is, how do you think she's doing with Nathaniel?" Bella would definitely refuse them, probably 'cause she was scared they'd be in danger. Even though Evelyn hadn't dealt much with Nathaniel, she could tell he was definitely not a nice guy.

Blake nodded and said, "It's pretty much what you found out before. Nathaniel doesn't seem to treat her well."

"That's good enough. As long as we're sure of that, we gotta get her outta there no matter what. We can't just watch her suffer here." After all, Bella was still her mom. Evelyn wasn't that heartless.

"It's not that simple. She and Nathaniel haven't divorced." In other words, even if they take Bella away now, it wouldn't change a thing. Bella was still Nathaniel's wife.

This was a real tough spot. Getting Nathaniel to divorce Bella was not gonna be easy. "No need to rush. Let's head back and come up with a plan. At least now we know where she is, right?"

"Alright," Blake agreed, nodding. Knowing her location was a big step forward compared to before when they had no clue.

They hopped into the car and took off. Evelyn spent the whole ride thinking about how to get Bella away. The first step was to get them divorced.

But with Nathaniel's possessiveness over Bella, it seemed unlikely he'd agree to a divorce.

She sighed to herself. Had finding her mom only led them to a dead end?

The banquet wrapped up, and Nathaniel and Bella also got into their car to head back.

In the car, Nathaniel squinted his eyes and stayed quiet. Bella leaned against the window, also silent.

She was worried Nathaniel would go after Evelyn and Blake. But now, even if she was worried, she couldn't say anything about them. Otherwise, Nathaniel would only get more pissed.

Before long, the car pulled up at the Flores Mansion. They walked into the mansion one after the other.

"You're back." As soon as they stepped into the living room, a young man's voice rang out. Bella's brows furrowed almost instantly.

"What are you doing here?" Nathaniel looked at Oscar Flores, eyeing him up and down.

Oscar shot his dad a dissatisfied look. "I'm still your son, aren't I? What, am I not allowed to come home now?"

"Home? You still remember this is your home? I thought you were too busy messing around to remember you even had one," Nathaniel sneered. He had always been tough on his son.

Oscar didn't care what he said. Instead, he turned his gaze to Bella. "It's 'cause you married a mistress that I don't wanna come home."

Bella's face darkened. "Oscar, I've told you a million times, I am not a mistress!"

"You're not? Really?" Oscar sneered. "If it weren't for you, my parents wouldn't have divorced."

Bella thought he was being completely unreasonable. She and Nathaniel had been married for decades. When she married him, Oscar was just a little kid. Yet, he had always seen her as the other woman. Even now, he was still filled with hostility toward her.
