Chapter 1320: What Do You Want
Dermot was flipping burgers on the grill when Keith's words made him raise an eyebrow. "What's up, man? You jealous or something?"
"Jealous? Dude, I'm married too." Keith didn't have a thing for Evelyn, but he was curious about what was going on in Dermot's head.
"Then why you grilling me with all these questions?" Dermot shot him a look. "By the way, when are you and Sarah gonna pop out a kid?"
Keith was caught off guard. "Why you asking? You and Evelyn planning on having a baby?"
That'd be way too soon.
"Nah, no plans yet. Just curious about you guys." Dermot had no clue when the right time was to have a kid, so he figured he'd ask around.
Keith thought about it for a sec and finally said, "Well, Sarah and I aren't in any rush. We wanna enjoy some more time together before a baby comes along."
He still wanted to have a few more years of fun with Sarah. Babies weren't really his thing anyway.
Dermot thought about it and realized a baby would totally change their dynamic, so he quickly ditched the idea.
He had thought about having a baby while Henry was still around to make him happy.
But now, he changed his mind. If they had a kid, Evelyn would be so wrapped up in baby stuff, she'd barely have time for him.
"Yeah, you're right. No rush for us either." Dermot nodded and dropped the subject.
Meanwhile, Evelyn was chilling with Ruby, Sarah, and the others.
Lydia had been trailing Craig, but since he was ignoring her, she finally got the guts to join Evelyn's crew.
"Evelyn, after chatting all night with Alex, we decided to have our wedding on a beautiful island," Ruby said.
Evelyn thought it sounded pretty cool. "That's unique. Your wedding's gonna be unforgettable."
"Make sure to invite me," Sarah chimed in, all excited. She'd never been to an island wedding before.
Ruby nodded and was about to say something when Lydia quietly said, "I wanna go too."
Everyone turned to look at Lydia.
Feeling a bit shy, Lydia said, "I just wanna see you guys happy."
Of course, she mainly wanted to drag Craig along so he could see Ruby and Alex tie the knot, hoping he'd finally get over Ruby.
Ruby agreed, "Of course." Even though they didn't know Lydia well, Ruby liked her.
Plus, she knew Lydia and Craig were having issues, and she wanted to help out.
While the girls were chatting, Aidan finished his drink and walked over to Craig.
Craig saw Aidan sit next to him and immediately frowned. "What do you want?"
Craig didn't think they had anything to talk about. Even though Phoebe had taken his money and decided not to pursue the baby thing, he hadn't let it go.
"Have you seen Phoebe lately?" Aidan asked.
Craig laughed. "Aidan, what's your deal? Why the sudden interest in Phoebe? What do you want?"
"You're overthinking it. Just reminding you to check on her. I ran into her once, and she didn't look too good." Aidan sipped his drink. He usually didn't stick his nose in other people's business.
