Chapter 350 Take Good Care of Your Injuries

Dermot shook his head and told him, "You keep talking to them. I'll go back first."

He couldn't feel at ease without seeing Evelyn; he had a feeling that something might happen.

"Okay, I'll call a driver for you," Todd said, taking out his phone and making the call. He didn't try to stop Dermot from leaving. Everything that needed to be discussed had already been settled.

"The rest of it is just eating and drinking, and he can handle this little issue."

Dermot got up and, after a brief exchange with the client, left the private room.

Without any delay, he immediately called for a driver and couldn't wait to see Evelyn safe at home.

At the hospital, Evelyn's wound had already been cleaned and bandaged, so she could leave.

"As a doctor yourself, I don't need to give you many instructions, right?" The emergency room doctor said while attending to her wound.

Evelyn nodded, "Yes, I know."

It was just the usual reminders to avoid strenuous exercise, water contact, and spicy food that Evelyn often told her own patients.

"Alright, go home and rest." The doctor from the emergency department advised.

Evelyn nodded and prepared to leave. Marina hurriedly went to support her, looking concerned. "I've already spoken to the head, and he has approved a few days off for you to rest at home."

"I'm really fine." Evelyn felt helpless. She hadn't even mentioned taking a leave, but Marina had already arranged it for her.

Supporting her, Marina expressed her disagreement, "Eve, I know you're healthy, but you can't be so reckless. You still need to rest when it's necessary."

This time, Evelyn had saved her. Marina already felt guilty, and if she couldn't handle something as simple as taking a leave, she would be too ashamed to show her face.

Evelyn felt helpless but didn't say anything further. A few days of rest would do her good; otherwise, it would be impossible for her to perform surgeries for a long time.

Just as she was thinking, her phone suddenly rang. Checking the caller ID, she saw that it was Dermot calling and instinctively furrowed her eyebrows.

"What's wrong?" Evelyn answered the phone directly, wondering why Dermot would have time to call her when he should be with the client. Her first thought was that something had happened.

On the other end of the phone, Dermot felt relieved upon hearing Evelyn's voice and asked in a hurry, "Where are you?"

"I... I'm having dinner with Marina outside and getting ready to go back." Evelyn said, not planning to tell Dermot about her injury. There was no need to unnecessarily worry him.

With her wound already bandaged, it wouldn't be easily noticed once she put her clothes back on.

"Where are you? I'll come pick you up." Dermot said, unable to sit at home and impatiently wanting to see Evelyn.

Upon hearing this, Evelyn directly refused, "No need, I'm already on my way back."

"Send me your location, I'll come pick you up." The man ended the call without even considering Evelyn's refusal.

Looking at the already hung up phone, Evelyn felt helpless. She could only send him her location. She knew Dermot's personality. If she didn't send it, she didn't know what he would do.

If someone was sent to investigate, tonight's incident might be exposed.

Putting away her phone, she looked at Marina beside her and asked, "Someone is coming to pick me up. Should I go back by myself or drop you off along the way?"

"No need, I'll go back on my own," Marina replied.

"Go ahead." She pointed to the car parked not far away, and could guess who was coming to pick up Evelyn.

Although filled with curiosity, she felt it would be better not to be a third wheel at this moment.

"Alright, just take it easy on the way." Evelyn instructed.

Marina nodded and waved at her, "I'll head back first. Take care of yourself, Eve."

"Mhm." Evelyn responded as Marina left the hospital.
