Chapter 770 Stop Having Delusions
Upon hearing this, Joshua raised an eyebrow slightly. Then he said, "Really? That's for the best. I also think you won't bother Evelyn, Mr. Doyle."
"Mr. Garcia, you're overthinking." Dermot snorted coldly, then got up and left.
Watching Dermot walk away, Joshua just smiled and then headed towards Evelyn's clinic.
As it approached noon, Evelyn had finished her work. When she saw Joshua had arrived, she said, "Joshua, you came at the right time. I just got off work."
"Yeah, how about grabbing lunch together?" Joshua asked with a smile.
Evelyn nodded without refusal.
She took Joshua to the cafeteria. Unlike Geoffrey's previous attitude, Joshua didn't mind at all.
Joshua believed that food wasn't important; it was who he ate with that mattered.
At noon, the cafeteria was quite crowded, filled with hospital staff who all knew Evelyn but weren't very familiar with her.
As Evelyn and Joshua walked in, they all looked curious, speculating about their relationship.
Evelyn ignored them and led Joshua to find a place to sit.
On the other side, Geoffrey watched Evelyn and Joshua with cold eyes.
Geoffrey had already suspected that Evelyn and Joshua had an unusual relationship, and now it seemed he was right.
He thought, 'No wonder Evelyn rejected me; she must have had another option.
'But Who's this guy? Could he be from a wealthy family like Evelyn?
'If that were the case, I really don't stand a chance.'
With that, Geoffrey couldn't help but feel irritated.

As he was complaining, someone suddenly sat in front of him and said, "Geoffrey, why are you sitting here alone? Weren't you pursuing Evelyn? How come I see her eating with another man?"
"Lisa!" Geoffrey was annoyed, clearly detecting the mockery in Lisa's voice.
Upon seeing him angry, Lisa smiled brightly. She continued, "If you want to climb the social ladder, you should see if you have the capability. Do you think you can reach the Kyte family?"
Because Geoffrey was pursuing Evelyn, Lisa had grown resentful of Evelyn, so she turned to her father, hoping he could find a way to get Evelyn fired.
However, Lisa's father told her Evelyn's true identity, which made her abandon that idea.
Although Lisa's father was a director at the hospital, he was nothing compared to the Kyte family. She didn't want to risk her entire family, so she wisely decided not to trouble Evelyn.
Moreover, after learning about Evelyn's identity, Lisa was certain that Evelyn would never be interested in Geoffrey.
Today, when Lisa saw Evelyn sitting with a handsome guy who was extraordinary, and then saw Geoffrey in the corner, she couldn't help but smile.
Geoffrey gritted his teeth but said nothing.
Lisa pretended to comfort him, "Don't delude yourself. Evelyn and we are not from the same world. She became a doctor because she likes it, but you? It's just for a living."
The gap between Geoffrey and Evelyn was too vast. Even if Geoffrey tried his hardest, he could never reach her.
Geoffrey clenched his fists unwillingly.
But after a long time, Geoffrey slowly relaxed his fists and said, "You're right."
Noticing Geoffrey accept his fate, Lisa smiled even more happily. She said to Geoffrey, "There's a new movie out that's pretty good. Want to go see it tonight?"
Geoffrey was clearly a bit surprised when he heard it. He looked at Lisa in confusion.
He had tried to win Lisa over before, thinking it wouldn't be bad to marry her. But at that time, Lisa wasn't very enthusiastic about him. He didn't know why would she want to watch a movie with him now.
