Chapter 331 Seal Your Lips

Taking Evelyn's bag, Dermot led her into the bar.

"Don't be so sentimental. I'm here to keep an eye on you so that you don't do anything that would upset me," Evelyn said, following behind Dermot as they headed upstairs.

Dermot wasn't angry, but instead nodded and said, "That's good, I do need someone to watch over me."

If Evelyn hadn't come, his group of friends would have found him some women. Although he wasn't interested, he would have felt uncomfortable with others sitting beside him.

Fortunately, she came.

Pushing open the door to the private room, everyone inside turned their gazes toward the entrance.

Dermot brought Evelyn in and introduced her proactively, saying, "This is my girlfriend, Evelyn."

Everyone chuckled and called her "sister-in-law" one after another. Evelyn smiled and nodded, a simple greeting.

Sitting next to Dermot, she listened as he introduced each man one by one, saying, "From left to right, these three are James, Thomas, and Mason. I've known them for many years, and we often drink together. Our relationship is pretty good."

For Dermot, they could be considered friends, but they definitely didn't have the same close relationship he had with Craig.

Evelyn nodded, recognizing these three men to be well-known second-generation wealthy individuals in Moris City. She had done some research on them before coming to Moris City, so she had some impressions.

Thomas came over with a raised glass and said playfully, "Sister-in-law, you are Dermot's first officially acknowledged girlfriend. Let me toast to you."

He drank it in one gulp, and Evelyn also raised her glass to take a sip, only to realize that her glass contained juice.

"Hello," she greeted with a smile, knowing that Dermot must have prepared the juice for her.

"In the future, come out to hang out with Dermot more. We get along well," Thomas added.

Evelyn nodded and said, "Okay."

Then Thomas returned to his seat, James came over with a glass in hand and greeted Evelyn as well.

Finally, Mason approached, but he wore a stern face and didn't seem willing.

Evelyn could almost immediately sense that this person didn't like her, but she wasn't sure why specifically.

"Being able to be brought in front of us, Dermot's brothers, Miss Kyte must have some abilities," Mason said sarcastically after finishing his drink.

Evelyn pursed her lips, Marina didn't say anything.

He was Dermot's friend, so she had to give him some respect.

"I heard Dermot say that you're a doctor?" Mason suddenly asked but didn't give Evelyn a chance to answer before continuing, "How much money can doctors make these days? You must be thrilled to have Dermot as a boyfriend, right?"

Evelyn's expression instantly turned ugly; she couldn't miss the implications behind his words.

Just as she was about to question him, Dermot angrily shouted, "M

"Jason! Shut your mouth if you can't speak properly. Nobody wants to listen to you."

"Did I say something wrong? If it wasn't for your status, would she be with you?" Mason was convinced that Evelyn was a gold digger. After all, Dermot had been surrounded by women like her before, but none of them had been as successful.

Dermot's face darkened, about to explode in anger, but Evelyn remained calm. "Then why did you become Dermot's friend? Was it also because of his money?"

"You!"

"As a friend, you make him lose face in public. It's truly hard to associate with someone like you." Evelyn interrupted him with a mocking smile. Who couldn't say offensive words?
