Chapter 323 Someone Is Following Us
Greg, who had already left the hospital, didn't know what the two inside were talking about.
Feeling somewhat dejected, he walked out of the hospital and dialed his grandfather's number when he got back to the car. "Old man, I missed my chance."
Greg informed Mr. Hamilton about Evelyn and Dermot being together, emphasizing that they had only started dating yesterday and were currently in the honeymoon phase.
Upon hearing this, Mr. Hamilton on the other end of the phone couldn't help but sigh, but quickly said, "So, you plan on giving up just like that?"
"What else can I do?" He was already prepared to buy a ticket back to Colombia at the airport. He never wanted to come back to Moris City again.
Mr. Hamilton berated him over the phone, "You're giving up over such a trivial obstacle? So what if she has a boyfriend? Can't you snatch her away?"
"As powerful as the Doyle family may be in Moris City, can they compare to our Hamilton family? You're not inferior to Dermot in terms of looks, and in terms of family strength, you're even stronger than him. You
"What's there to worry about?" Greg didn't come to his senses until his grandfather finished scolding him. "Steal? That doesn't sound good."
It was said to be stealing, but it was actually about becoming a lover.
A male lover. If people found out, how could he face anyone?
"Greg, if you want to rise above others, you must endure the pain that ordinary people find unbearable. Now is the time to test you," Mr. Hamilton attempted to brainwash his grandson.
Listening to Mr. Hamilton, Greg found his words somewhat reasonable, but also felt that something was off.
"Don't worry too much. I'll tell you the truth. The reason why Dermot is so fixated on Evelyn is probably the same as your intentions. He must have known Evelyn's true identity a long time ago, which is why he has been pestering her persistently."
"So even if you manage to snatch her away, it won't be considered ruining their relationship. Dermot's feelings for Evelyn are definitely not genuine. When you bring her in, at least we will treat her well, but what about Dermot? You are not unaware of his previous actions."
Greg listened and increasingly felt that it made sense.
Before, Dermot ignored Evelyn and even divorced her, certainly because he didn't know her true identity. But once he found out, he started pestering her shamelessly. A despicable person!
Greg was completely convinced by his grandfather's words. "Grandfather, I understand. I won't give up."
"Good, that's right," Mr. Hamilton nodded in satisfaction.
After hanging up the phone, Greg didn't go to the airport but continued to wait at the hospital for Evelyn and Dermot to come out.
He didn't have to wait long before Dermot and Evelyn came out of the hospital, seemingly planning to go for a meal.
He quickly started his car and followed them, not giving them a chance to develop their relationship any further.
Inside Dermot's car, they were initially chatting happily when his expression suddenly changed. Evelyn immediately noticed.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"We are being followed," Dermot replied, looking at the car following them through the rearview mirror. He had been uncertain before, but now he was sure that they were being tracked.
Evelyn also glanced at it, furrowing her brows. "Who could it be? Are they after you or me?"
"Not sure, hold on." Dermot stepped on the accelerator, increasing the speed and creating a gap between them and the pursuer.
But the car behind them didn't seem ready to give up and also accelerated to catch up.
During this time, Dermot called Todd and asked him to send people over. He wanted to see who had the audacity to track him.
Soon, the cars stopped at the entrance of a restaurant, and Todd and his men were already waiting.
To their surprise, the car of the pursuer also stopped, parking next to Dermot's car, showing no fear of being discovered.
Dermot waved his hand, and Todd and his men surrounded the car, giving the other party no chance to escape.
