Chapter 77 He Shouldn't Apologize to Me

Natalie felt that the Dermot in front of her was unfamiliar. She had only been away for two years, but it felt like ten years had passed. She couldn't recognize the person in front of her anymore.

"I'll make him apologize to you and promise that this won't happen again in the future," Natalie said, understanding that Dermot wouldn't give up.

However, Dermot did not agree, instead he said, "He should be the one apologizing."

Natalie was surprised and couldn't believe it. "Are you asking him to apologize to that woman?"

"Shouldn't he?" Dermot asked, with a bad tone.

Natalie wanted to say that she was qualified? But in the end, she didn't dare to say it.

Regardless of whether Dermot was acting on impulse or for other reasons, he cared a lot about that woman now, and she couldn't offend her.

After a brief silence, Natalie nodded and said, "Alright, I'll bring him over to apologize. As for the other side..."

"I can ask for you, but whether she is willing to accept it is beyond my control," Dermot said, taking out his phone and calling Evelyn.

Would she dare not to accept?

A wave of anger rose in Natalie's heart. She didn't dare to explode in front of Dermot, but she had already resented Evelyn.

On the other end of the phone, Evelyn and Aidan had finished their meal and returned to the hospital. While looking through the medical records of the patients scheduled for surgery tomorrow, she received a call from Dermot.

"Are you saying that Kenny wants to apologize to me?" Evelyn smiled faintly, imagining Kenny's creepy face. Why couldn't she believe it?

"Well, you can refuse," Dermot said.

Evelyn thought and then said, "Being able to call me, it seems like someone from the Barns family has come to persuade you."

Dermot looked at Natalie across from him and made a confirming sound, admitting it.

"Did you manipulate the Barns family stocks?" she asked.

"Yes," Dermot nodded, surprised that Evelyn guessed it.

"Why? Aren't you good friends with the Barns family?" Evelyn didn't understand. She didn't think her relationship with Dermot was good enough for him to do this.

Why?

Dermot wanted to ask why as well.

But he didn't know.

After a long silence, he said, "I owe you for what happened to Cassie and I want to do something to make it up to you."

Evelyn was speechless and said, "It's not necessary."

Let's handle the Barns family once and for all. I appreciate your help, but I won't let the matter of letting Cassie go slide," Natalie stated firmly.

"I know," Dermot wasn't surprised. In his mind, Evelyn was someone who had clear love and hate.

"Fine, tell me the address," she agreed. Dermot was surprised since he expected her to refuse. "You don't have to do it for my sake..."

"You're overthinking. I wanted to meet that Kenny as well." If she couldn't touch the Barns family, could she at least take the opportunity to deal with that bastard Kenny?

The call ended, leaving Dermot with mixed emotions. "She agreed and will be here soon."

"That's good. Kenny is heading this way," Natalie smiled, but she couldn't feel good. She watched Dermot talking on the phone with that woman. She had never seen Dermot like this before—gentle, but subservient.

"Dermot, what is your relationship with that woman?" Natalie couldn't help but ask. She had never taken the other woman seriously before, but now, after witnessing how Dermot treated Evelyn, she felt worry.
