Chapter 1127: I Will Definitely Change in the Future

It was still broad daylight in Lundel, but over in Golombia, it was already way past bedtime. Outta nowhere, folks saw Evelyn and Dermot go public with their relationship on Instagram, and the comments started flying in.

"Mr. Doyle finally bagged the beauty?"

"Stoked for them!"

"This is what they call a match made in heaven."

They didn't have a ton of followers since they weren't celebs or influencers. The ones who did follow them were genuinely rooting for them.

So yeah, everyone was sending good vibes their way.

When Ruby called, Evelyn was grabbing lunch with Dermot. She picked up the phone and immediately got an earful of Ruby's excited screech. "Evelyn! Are you really with Dermot?"

"Yep." She was kinda confused why Ruby was so hyped; it was something everyone saw coming.

After Ruby, a bunch more people called, mostly to confirm the news and send their congrats.

Dermot got a call too, but it was from Henry.

Henry wasn't much of an online guy, but he caught their update right away, thanks to Luke.

After that dinner at Dermot's place, Henry wasn't as against Luke and slowly started accepting him as part of the Doyle clan.

The big thing was, he could tell both Evelyn and Dermot were cool with Luke, so he had no reason to keep pushing back.

So, whenever Luke had business in Moris City, he'd drop by to see Henry. This time, it was Luke who tipped Henry off about Evelyn and Dermot's news.

"Grandpa, chill. I got this," Dermot said, feeling a bit exasperated. On the other end, Henry seemed to have zero faith in him, always thinking he'd mess things up with Evelyn.

He'd busted his butt to win her over; no way he was gonna screw it up now.

Dermot hung up, and Evelyn had just put her phone away too. "Was that Henry?"

"Yeah, he told me to treat you like a queen this time and warned if I mess up, he's coming for me. I'm starting to wonder whose grandpa he really is," Dermot said, half-joking.

Evelyn laughed, "Maybe you don't have the best rep with Henry."

Given Dermot's past screw-ups, it made sense; otherwise, they wouldn't have split up.

"Yeah, I'm definitely turning over a new leaf." Dermot didn't argue and reached over to feed Evelyn some food.

"Okay." Evelyn nodded and then asked, "How long are we sticking around in Britannica?"

"Not sure yet. There's nothing urgent at the Doyle Group right now. We can chill here for a few more days. These breaks don't come often." He wanted more time with Evelyn, knowing that taking over the Doyle Group would make him super busy soon.

Thinking about it, Dermot wasn't sure if taking over the Doyle Group was the best move.

But if he hadn't, how could he be worthy of Evelyn, who was now the head of the Kyte family?

Evelyn nodded. The hospital had given her a long break, and she wasn't planning to waste it. "Alright, let's stay a few more days then."

They were on the same page and headed to the next tourist spot after lunch.

Now, Dermot was just soaking it all in, not as jittery as he was when he first declared his love.
