Chapter 1317: You Must Be Dreaming

At the wedding spot, Evelyn was upstairs in the lounge, slipping into her wedding dress, while the emcee was cracking jokes and keeping the guests entertained downstairs.

Henry was also there, shaking hands and chatting with everyone, and even Randy had shown up.

No matter what, Dermot was now part of the Doyle clan. Since he was tying the knot, as the ex-head of the Doyle family, he had to be there. Otherwise, folks might think there was some beef within the family.

Henry and Randy bumped into each other after years, but the old drama was gone. They shared a smile and then went off to mingle with their own circles.

The wedding kicked off soon. When the pastor called for the bride, the doors swung open, and Evelyn, arm in arm with Blake, started walking towards Dermot.

Dermot didn’t just stand there; he walked towards Evelyn too, finally taking her hand from Blake.

"Dermot, don’t let Evelyn suffer, or Bella and I will come after you," Blake warned.

Dermot nodded seriously. "Dad, don’t worry, no one in this world can mess with Evelyn."

Not even him.

The ceremony started, all planned by Dermot. It was super touching, and Evelyn almost teared up a few times.

In the crowd, quite a few people were getting misty-eyed too.

Ruby felt happy for Evelyn. Nearby, there was someone else with red eyes.

That was Lucia.

She was still living in Wade’s villa, but this kind of wedding was something she had always dreamed of.

But she knew Wade would never give her such a wedding.

Maybe noticing her tears, Wade glanced at her. "What, you jealous and hating on her?"

"No, I’m just envious," Lucia wiped her eyes and said honestly.

Lucia was truly envious. Evelyn had someone who loved her, and her parents were by her side.

But what about her?

In the end, she had nothing.

"You better just be envious. If I find out you dare to hurt Evelyn, I won’t let you off," Wade warned her.

Lucia’s back stiffened. Biting her lip, she couldn’t help but ask, "Wade, what exactly am I to you?"

Before, because of her mom’s words, she thought Wade might also love her, so she chose to stay.

But after staying for so long, Lucia still hadn’t won Wade’s affection.

More than once, Lucia thought it would have been better if she had left with her mom.

Even if she couldn’t get Wade’s love that way, at least she would be free.

But now, she had nothing.

"What? What do you think you are?" Wade sneered, totally indifferent to the pain on Lucia’s face.

She had started the whole thing with him, and later, it was her choice not to leave.

Could she still blame Wade?

Lucia murmured, "You really have no feelings for me at all? We’ve been together…"

"Ridiculous. Do you think I’d have feelings for a scheming woman like you? You’re dreaming," Wade cut her off.

Lucia asked again, "If you have no feelings for me, why don’t you get married? Why do you still let me stay in your villa?" Now, everyone in Golombia knew that Lucia lived in Wade’s villa.

Under these circumstances, who would be willing to marry Wade?

Her words made Wade’s face darken with displeasure. "Why I don’t get married is none of your business. Just do your part, and don’t worry about other things."

Lucia could tell that he was pissed.

But why was he pissed? Lucia didn’t know.
