Chapter 402 A Clash of Emotions

Greg's words infuriated Evelyn, and she glared at him. Meanwhile, Dermot and the woman had already entered the restaurant. Evelyn turned her head to the side, not wanting to see him.

Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't crowded at this time. With Greg and Evelyn both being eye-catching, unless they intentionally hid, they would inevitably be noticed.

Dermot naturally noticed them too. His already unpleasant expression instantly darkened, giving off a sense of an impending storm.

Evelyn simply ignored him, treating him as if he didn't exist.

Greg curled his lips, turned around, and exchanged a challenging gaze with Dermot. He even provocatively raised an eyebrow, acting like a troublemaker.

He picked up his chopsticks and picked up a dish for Evelyn. "Eat more, let your appetite transform your anguish."

Evelyn didn't refuse. She didn't think too much about it. When she realized what was happening and looked at Dermot, he had already stood up and headed towards a private room.

A seething fire seemed to burn inside her, unable to be unleashed on Dermot. She could only look at Greg in front of her. "Are you childish?"

"Childish? I don't think so." He was feeling quite good after all, better than before when Evelyn said she wanted to go to Colombia with him.

Sometimes he couldn't quite figure out whether he wanted Evelyn to be with him or simply wanted to see her and Dermot unhappy.

Evelyn thought this guy's mind was somewhat abnormal and decided not to talk to him, lest she be infuriated.

Before long, Marina came back as well. She didn't know about Dermot's presence here, so she was puzzled by the change in atmosphere between the two.

"Are you done eating? If you're done, let's go." Evelyn turned her head to Marina beside her, not bothering with Greg at all.

Marina nodded and got up, following Evelyn as they walked out of the restaurant. Greg didn't mind; he followed behind them.

Inside the private room, Dermot maintained a gloomy expression. Lassie Baker, sitting across from him, was completely puzzled. What was wrong with this man? Weren't things just fine earlier? Did she do something to offend him?

If it weren't for her father insisting that this man was excellent and had a bright future, and if she didn't think he sang well, she wouldn't have come for this arranged meeting. But since she was here...
Alright, the art of saving face must be done well. "Mr. Doyle, I believe you already know some basic information about me, so let's skip the introduction. What do you think?" Hearing her speak, Dermot glanced at her, murmured softly, but showed no intention of speaking.

Lassie: I'll endure.

"May I ask, Mr. Doyle, why did you agree to this blind date?" It was because of her father and Dermot's good looks that she agreed to it. But what about Dermot? She was quite curious about that.

Dermot furrowed his brows, seeming a little displeased with the question. "Does the reason matter that much?"

"Alright, if you don't want to share, then don't." Lassie didn't press further, but couldn't help cursing inwardly. What's so great about being good-looking? He's so difficult to please, she had no intention of putting up with it.

Both of them fell into silence, and it took Dermot quite a while to regain his composure. "Miss Baker, what would you like to eat?" He handed her the menu, trying hard to maintain gentlemanly manners.

Unfortunately, at this point, no matter what Dermot did, he had already left a particularly bad impression on Lassie.

"Mr. Doyle, let me be direct. I don't think we're a good match." Despite Dermot being handsome and having a promising future, Lassie still didn't like him. The person Lassie was looking for should at least be polite and well-mannered, which Dermot had nothing to do with.
