Chapter 128 I Can't Control Myself
"Dermot, can you please be more rational!" Evelyn pushed him away in annoyance, yet the taste of Dermot still lingered on her lips, leaving her feeling tangled.
He looked down at her in silence.
After an unknown amount of time, a deep voice sounded in Evelyn's ears, he said, "I want to be more rational. I know I shouldn't be clinging to you, I shouldn't be this kind of person, Dermot shouldn't be like this."
"But..." he looked at Evelyn and said with an uncontrollable tone, "I can't control myself."
"I get angry when I see you with other men, I want to snatch you away!""
Dermot knew that he wasn't normal.
But what could he do? He couldn't control it.
He said a lot in one breath, leaving Evelyn stunned in place. The Dermot was different from the man she knew.
She felt agitated, pushing him away, "I don't want to hear these things from you. I've told you I'm not interested, don't waste your time on me."
She walked straight past Dermot and towards the private room.
Dermot watched her figure leaving, his gaze darkening, then turned around and left the restroom.
Inside the private room, Greg had been waiting for Evelyn for long. When he was hesitating whether to get up, Evelyn pushed the door open and walked in.
"What happened to you? You don't look too good," Greg frowned, noticing something unusual about Evelyn.
Evelyn snapped out of her thoughts and tried to regain her composure, "It's nothing."
Greg was skeptical but just shut up. they weren't the type to share everything with each other.
"Have you finished eating? Is there anything else you want to eat?" Greg asked.
Evelyn shown no. She ate very little, and now she had no appetite at all.
Just as Greg was about to speak, the door of the private room was pushed open by someone unexpected.
"Mr. Doyle?" Greg was surprised.
Dermot smiled.
"I've heard that Greg came to Moris City a long time ago and I've always wanted to have the opportunity to invite you for a meal. I didn't expect to run into you today," he said with a smile, sitting down next to Evelyn without any hesitation.
Evelyn frowned.
Greg didn't notice anything unusual between the two and responded to Dermot, saying, "Mr. Doyle, you're too kind."
"I'll treat you to this meal today as a welcome to Greg's arrival in Moris City," Dermot said.
Greg was about to refuse, but Dermot continued, "Evelyn and I are acquaintances as well, so one more person shouldn't be an issue for Greg, right?"
"This isn't appropriate, Mr. Doyle. I invited Evelyn alone tonight," Greg frowned, refusing. How come he had never noticed before that Dermot had thick skin?
Dermot seemed to ignore this and said with a smile, "Although Evelyn and I are divorced, I still believe that there is unfinished fate between us. Remarrying is just a matter of time."
Greg began to understand why Dermot was here, apparently because of Evelyn. Did he still want to win Evelyn back?
Why did they get divorced in the first place?
He didn't understand the reason behind it, but he could tell that Evelyn didn't think the same way.
"Is that so? not," Greg chuckled and continued, "Someone as outstanding as Evelyn can have better choices."
Better choices?
Dermot's face turned ugly.
