Chapter 1192: What Are You Afraid Of

After hearing Evelyn's plan, Oscar just went quiet.

After a long pause, he finally spoke up, "You really think he'll chase you all the way to Golombia? The dude's not dumb; he knows it's risky," Oscar questioned.

"He'll come. A guy with his ego and possessiveness? No doubt about it," Evelyn shot back confidently. She hadn't spent much time with Nathaniel, but she'd dealt with his type before.

Wasn't Craig just like that?

Nathaniel was even worse than Craig. Evelyn was sure that once Bella followed them to Golombia, Nathaniel would be hot on their trail.

No way he'd give up without dragging Bella back.

Oscar didn't argue with Evelyn 'cause he knew Nathaniel was stubborn as hell.

"Even if he does come, you really think you can get him locked up? You got proof of his dirty deeds?" As a Flores, Oscar knew the family was into some shady stuff, but knowing and proving it were two different things.

Plus, he wasn't about to mess with the family's business.

Evelyn saw right through him and said, "Relax, I've got it all planned out. I bet Nathaniel's got a body count. You just need to help me dig up the dirt."

"That's it?" Oscar was skeptical. He thought Evelyn would want him to blow the lid off the Flores family's operations.

Evelyn nodded. "Yep, that's it. You get me the list of victims, and I'll handle the rest."

Oscar was still iffy. "You sure this'll work?"

"Scared?" Evelyn sneered. "Worried he'll come after you if we screw up?"

Oscar didn't deny it. He was scared, no doubt. Nathaniel was terrifying.

"Chill, you're his son. He won't come after you. You can pin it all on me," Evelyn said confidently.

Her words were hard to resist. Gritting his teeth, Oscar said, "Alright! I trust you!"

Even if they failed, he wouldn't die. So why not take the shot?

If they pulled it off, he'd finally be free from Nathaniel's shadow, and that was the freedom he craved.

After hanging up, Evelyn started plotting how to get Bella out of Nathaniel's mansion and safely out of Seabrook City.

This needed some serious planning. Nathaniel was a psycho, and if he got suspicious, he'd rather go down with them than let Bella go.

When Dermot walked in, Evelyn was so lost in thought she didn't even notice.

"What’s on your mind?" Dermot asked, coming up beside her.

Evelyn snapped out of it and spilled her worries. After listening, Dermot laughed, "Evelyn, you're underestimating the Kyte and Doyle families."

"Oh? What do you mean?" Even though she was now the head of the Kyte family, she didn't fully grasp their power.

"The Flores family might be top dog in Seabrook City, but they can't touch us. So, do what you gotta do. At least, he's not a threat right now," Dermot said.
