Chapter 428 I Won't Allow You to Think That Way
"Ruby, I know what you're thinking, but I won't allow you to think like that!" Evelyn deliberately raised her tone, sounding serious.
She said to her, "I don't think this is troublesome, and neither do your aunt and uncle. We are all doing this willingly because we want you to be free, do you understand?"
Ruby held the phone, her eyes slightly red. Of course, she understood, but she felt sorry for them.
“Ruby, don’t think too much right now and don’t show any unusual behavior. Everything will remain the same. Just give us some time,” Evelyn comforted her, not really angry.
"Okay, I understand." Everything had been arranged, and at this moment Ruby didn't want to consider too much. She entrusted it to Evelyn, trusting her.
After hanging up the phone, Evelyn finally had time to lie down and rest. As she browsed the news, she discovered the surprising news that Dermot and Lassie had actually broken up publicly.
She didn't feel happy about their breakup. On the contrary, she felt a sense of uneasiness. Dermot had barely broken up with her before getting together with Lassie. If he truly liked Lassie, she wouldn't have said anything, but now...The man was, perhaps, too selfish.
Turning off her phone, she self-mockingly muttered, "What does it have to do with me?"
With that in mind, she got up and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. It was better to rest early since she would be going to the Hamilton family's Doyal Mansion tomorrow.
As Greg entered the living room of the Doyal Mansion, he realized there were not only his grandfather but also two other people sitting inside.
“Grandfather,” he walked over, paying no attention to the other two.
Mr. Hamilton made a sound of affirmation but hadn't spoken yet when the two individuals sitting across from him became dissatisfied. "Greg, do you only see your grandfather? Can't you see me and your father?"
Hearing their voices, Greg diverted a bit of his attention. "Oh, who do we have here? It's Mr. Hamilton and Mrs. Hamilton, isn't it? How come you have time to come to Doyal Mansion today? Not busy with traveling?"
Indeed, these two people, in his impression, had never bothered with him or the company. They simply took large dividends from the Hamilton family each year to go on vacation. Of course, they weren't as harmonious as they appeared now. After all, the man had a mistress, and the woman had her own lover as well.
He found it quite interesting, wondering how they could still sit together without feeling disgusted.
"Greg!" Mr. Hamilton shouted angrily. He had never been on good terms with his son. "What kind of language is that? No matter what, I am still your father!"
"That is probably the most unfortunate thing in my life," Greg coldly spoke, showing no respect for the two people before him.
Their faces instantly turned unsightly, as if they were about to stand up and hit him.
‘Bang, bang, bang!’ Mr. Hamilton raised his cane and knocked on the ground. "Enough of this show of strength in front of me. When you didn't care about your own son, you should have thought about this day."
Mr. Hamilton was disappointed in his son. Since he was young, he was groomed as the heir, but as he grew up, he not only did not take over the Hamilton family but also spent his days fooling around outside.
Even after having a son, he didn't show any restraint until he took Greg in to raise him himself. Fortunately, his grandson turned out to be a promising young man.
"Dad!" Mr. Hamilton was somewhat annoyed.
"What's the matter with you coming here today? Greg is back too, so let's all sit down and talk." Mr. Hamilton turned to Greg, gesturing for him to take a seat.
Greg nodded and sat down beside Mr. Hamilton, his eyes revealing undeniable disgust towards the other two.
