Chapter 302 Yes! I Like Him
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh, drinking water while asking her, "Dermot is not some object, just because you say he's yours, he's yours? Emily Morgans, I think you haven't fully woken up yet, have you?"
"I don't care, just stay away from him, don't you dare get close to him." She could clearly see Dermot's interest in Evelyn. It was for this reason that she had to prevent the two from getting any closer. What business did she have with them otherwise?
Evelyn ignored her and headed straight for the bathroom.
But Emily Morgans had no intention of giving up and followed her, "Why aren't you saying anything? Are you trying to compete with me for Dermot?"
Evelyn continued to ignore her and took her toothbrush to prepare for brushing her teeth.
However, Emily Morgans snatched her toothbrush away angrily and asked, "Do you like Dermot?"
"Yes! I like him, so what? Is that not allowed?" She was genuinely irritated by Emily Morgans. Couldn't this woman just leave her alone?
Upon hearing her admission, Emily Morgans became enraged and wanted to hit her, "How could you like him? What makes you qualified to like him? You, a divorced woman, what right do you have to like him?"
"You're crazy!" Evelyn glanced at her and snatched back her own toothbrush. After quickly brushing her teeth, she walked towards the room, no longer intending to say another word.
Seeing this, Emily Morgans screamed at her retreating figure, "Dermot is mine! Don't think you can steal him from me!"
"I'm telling you, I will compete with you fairly. You can't play any tricks behind my back..."
She continued to speak, but Evelyn had already closed the door, successfully shutting out her voice, and suddenly the world felt quiet.
Dermot, it seems women really like you.
That night, Evelyn thought about many things, but couldn't come up with a solution.
I fell into a deep sleep and woke up the next morning.
There were many things to do today. Not only did I have to take the two children to meet the adoptive family, but I also had to arrange work for Emily Morgans. Most importantly, I needed to find a place for her to live. She didn't want to stay with me all the time.
In the morning, when Evelyn took the two children out, Emily Morgans was still asleep.
Evelyn didn't bother with her and left breakfast for her before taking the two children out.
Downstairs, she didn't expect Dermot to already be waiting here. "Why didn't you go to the company?"
"Aren't you taking the two children to meet the adoptive family today? After all, I played a part in the arrangement, so I should go and take a look," the man said.
Evelyn couldn't argue with that, so she nodded. "Alright, let's go together."
The group of them got into the car and drove to the predetermined place.
It was quiet in the car.
"Are you nervous?" Evelyn asked the two children.
Ethan nodded, but Mia didn't feel much. She didn't really know what was going to happen yet.
Evelyn patted their heads and said to them, "The uncles and aunties today are very nice people, so there's no need to be nervous."
"Okay," Ethan nodded, but he couldn't help but feel nervous inside.
He was afraid that the adoptive family wouldn't like him and his sister.
"Dermot, do you like the lady from yesterday or do you like Eve?" Ethan suddenly asked Dermot who was driving in front.
Dermot was taken aback by his sudden question and didn't react right away. "Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"
"It's nothing, I just think Eve is really good. She's much better than the lady from yesterday, so you must like Eve," Ethan said.
Dermot laughed. "Don't worry, I only like Eve. I just know that Eve doesn't like me. Can you say a few good words about me to her?"
"Eve likes you. I heard her say she liked you when she was arguing with that lady last night," Ethan said in confusion. He clearly heard Eve say that she liked Dermot last night, so he must have misheard, right?
