Chapter 95 Your Days Won't Be Easy
After another unpleasant encounter, Evelyn felt that she should move to a new place to avoid constantly running into Dermot.
Meanwhile, Dermot made a call to Keith, who lived next door.
"Mr. Doyle, calling me so late, I suppose it's not to catch up, right? We don't have any history to catch up on," Keith said, with sarcasm, finding this person quite interesting.
"I'm warning you, stay away from Evelyn. It seems like you didn't take my words seriously," Dermot said, gripping his phone tightly.
"Dermot, are you someone I should take seriously? Should I pay attention to your words?" Keith chuckled, finding this person amusing.
"Recently, your days won't be easy," Dermot said, continuing, "The Kartland family is eager to cause trouble for you. Now that the opportunity has presented itself, they won't let you off so."
Keith fell silent, feeling the itch of hatred.
The Doyle family truly deserved their reputation as the number one family in Moris City. When Dermot mentioned dealing with the Kartland family before, Keith didn't take it seriously.
But now that they had taken action, Keith realized that the gap between them was still significant.
For example, due to Dermot's interference, Keith had lost several partnerships in quick succession, causing dissatisfaction among other members of the Kartland family.
Furthermore, Dermot let those people know that it was Keith who had offended him, so the Kartland family members were eager to bring Keith down.
"Stay away from Evelyn, and I guarantee your position in the Kartland family," Dermot spoke, giving Keith some face.
If it were someone else, there would be no room for negotiation, and Dermot would have already taken action.
Dermot believed that Keith had no reason to refuse, after all, he didn't like Evelyn, and being associated with the Kartland family was far from desirable.
Artland family compared, Evelyn is not as important.
Keith did not agree. "Dermot, I'll say it again. If you have the ability, go ahead and kill me. Otherwise, I won't let you have your way."
"Keith," Dermot gritted his teeth, "think about the consequences."
"Come on, let me see what you're capable of." He had been waiting for this day for a long time.
The phone disconnected, and the smile disappeared from Keith's face.
Regardless of how indifferent he appeared in front of Dermot, the difficulties faced by the Kartland family were real. If he didn't save the Kartland family, how would he compete with Dermot in the future?
Compared to Keith, Dermot was mostly angry.
He threw his phone against the wall, his anger burning inside him but unable to be unleashed.
He realized that his life hasn't been smooth since divorcing Evelyn.
He took a deep breath and called Grandpa Doyle. "Grandpa, invite Evelyn."
"You rascal..."
"Grandpa, I promise you," he said.
Grandpa Doyle paused, not understanding. "What do you mean?"
"I'm willing to give it a try with her," Dermot said.
On the other end of the phone, Grandpa Doyle thought he was hearing things, and it took a while before he asked, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah," Dermot nodded.
He needed to do something to prevent Keith’s success.
And Grandpa Doyle was always happy to see this scene. If he couldn't find an opportunity, he could only rely on Grandpa Doyle to create one for him.
"Alright, alright," Grandpa Doyle said three times in a row, in a very pleased mood. "I'll call Evelyn to invite her."
"Grandpa," Dermot called him.
"Is there something else?" Grandpa Doyle felt that his grandson was acting strange tonight, but he didn't ask too much. As long as he could figure it out, it was fine.
Dermot hesitated for a long time before he asked, "Do you think there is still a chance for me and her?"
"Of course!"
Grandpa Doyle didn't hesitate at all and continued, "You two are the most suitable for each other. Although you're divorced now, remarriage is not difficult."
"However, you also have to change your bad temper. When you see Evelyn, be nice to her. After all, you were the one who hurt her first."
