Chapter 785 Transfer the Money or Die

David's thoughts were clear to both Blake and Wade, but they had no objections. Wade spoke up, "Money isn't the issue. The point is how we can be sure that once you get the money, you'll let us go?"

These people had no credibility at all, so he wouldn't trust them.

"Mr. Allen, please trust us," David said as he looked at Dermot. But his casual "trust us" was too perfunctory.

In fact, he didn't care whether Blake and Wade trusted him or not, because at this point, they had no choice.

Even if they wanted to back out in the end, these two had no way out. They wouldn't give up their only hope now.

Definitely not.

David knew it well, which made him so confident.

Wade glanced at him but didn't expose him. He just said, "How about this? We give you one hundred million dollars first, you let Mr. Kyte go, and when the remaining hundred million dollars is transferred, you let me go. How about that?"

He thought at least one of them could be saved in this way. Even if David reneged in the end, Blake would already be rescued.

"No way!" before David could speak, Blake interjected. "You go first. I'll stay till the end."

They both knew very well that David was unlikely to let them go in the end. Whoever stayed till the end would surely not survive.

The Allen family and the Kyte family were partners. Wade and Evelyn were both disciples of George Smith. He couldn't leave first.

"Mr. Kyte," Wade said.

"Wade!" Blake growled, "Listen to me."

"I have only one request for you. If possible, spare Lucia." He sighed, knowing it was a bit much to ask at this moment, but he had no choice.

He wasn't worried about Evelyn. He had arranged everything at the company, and even if someone tried to cause trouble, he believed Evelyn could handle it.

But as for Lucia, he had already sensed that the Allen family wanted to call off the engagement. He was unfazed by the revelation, but he hoped that after the engagement was called off, Wade wouldn't continue to target Lucia, at least let her live.

No matter what, Lucia was still his daughter.

The atmosphere grew heavy. Wade looked at him but said nothing.

David, standing in front of them, couldn't help but laugh. He squatted down and grabbed Wade's jaw, then said, "Who said I would agree to your proposal? You even decided who goes first. Did I say I would agree?"

"You!" Wade shouted.

"Stop talking nonsense. Either transfer the money or die." David released Wade, gave him a cold look, and didn't give him a chance to speak further.

He threw the phone in front of them and said, "Call your families. You know what to say."

With that, he took out a gun and sat down in front of them.

Upon seeing this, Wade exchanged a glance with Blake and finally chose to pick up the phone.

But instead of calling the Kyte family, he called Evelyn.

When Evelyn received a call from an unknown number, her first reaction was to hang up. After all, she was fully focused on tracking down the car that had taken Wade and Blake away, and she had no time for unknown calls.

But for some reason, she felt it was unusual, so she answered it.

"Who is this?" she asked, feeling a bit nervous.

"It's me." Wade's voice came from the other end. Evelyn's eyes widened in surprise and joy.

"Wade, where are you? Are you safe?" She was eager to know more but also wrote a note and handed it to her secretary.

"Immediately trace this number." Edward glanced at it, didn't hesitate, and immediately went to investigate it.
