Because Natalie herself couldn't figure out what kind of punishment could befall someone like Dermot, leaving him beyond redemption. She thought.
Coming out of The Barbert's Apartment building, she stood by the roadside not knowing where to go for a moment.
The Barns family was now gone and she had divorced Oliver. Suddenly, she realized that in this vast world, there was no place for her, Natalie came to the realization that she was alone.
How ridiculous! She thought as she cursed herself inwardly.
The once invincible Lady of the Barns family had ended up in this state because of her infatuation with Dermot. Standing under a street lamp, she looked around in confusion.
Intoxication washed over her, making her unsteady on her feet. She held onto a lamppost, lost in her thoughts.
A loud Rumbling sound approached Natalie as she stood bewildered, several motorcycles soon stopped in front of her as one of the men got off the motorcycle.
"Hey Beautiful, nowhere to go? I can take you in." the rough looking stranger said.
Natalie looked up suddenly, taking a glance at the man in front of her. His red hair instantly gave her a bad impression. "Get lost!" she said with clear disdain.
"Oh, feisty. I like that." With that, he didn't care whether Natalie agreed or not, he approached her.
