Evelyn shook her head, grabbed her bag, and stood up. "He's fine. Let's go; didn't we make plans already?"

"Okay." Marina didn't ask further. If Evelyn said it was fine, then it must be fine. She had this inexplicable confidence in her.
They got into Marina's car and left the hospital, unaware that across the street, Robert, who had been chased out of the hospital by the director, hadn't gone far. He was standing by the roadside, watching their car drive away.

They hung up the phone. Evelyn placed her phone down and looked up to find Marina smiling at her. "Eve, this must be your boyfriend, right?"

Evelyn cleared her throat and didn't deny it either. "Just focus on driving. Why are you so curious?"

She hadn't thought about how to publicly announce her relationship with Dermot yet. It all felt a little strange.
Her ex-wife suddenly becoming her girlfriend would be strange for anyone who knew about it.
