Chapter 1188: Are You Tempted by My Proposal
Oscar snapped back to reality, a bit thrown off. "Wait, you're not heading back? Aren't you worried your dad might kick the bucket?"
"Chill, my dad's not going anywhere," Evelyn said, oozing confidence. She'd already scoped out the Flores family's assets and set things up just right.
As long as Nathaniel didn't throw the whole Flores clan at them, the villa was safe. And she knew he wouldn't, 'cause he still had it out for her.
"So, Mr. Flores, you digging my offer or what?" Evelyn asked, genuinely curious about Oscar's take.
Oscar's face got all serious. "Why should I listen to you and go against my old man? The Flores family will be mine eventually."
"Oh, really?" Evelyn smirked and pulled out some photos from her bag, handing them over to Oscar.
"Your dad's got a bunch of secret kids, and they're all more capable than you. The only reason you're still the young master is 'cause your grandpa's still kicking. Once he's gone, what do you think Nathaniel's gonna do?" Evelyn said, laying it out without trying to rile him up.
Oscar stared at the photos, showing Nathaniel with a woman and a boy about his age having dinner.
The other pics were similar, just different women and kids of various ages. But all the boys looked like Nathaniel, so Oscar didn't doubt it.
Oscar flipped through the photos, his face getting darker. "You've done your homework."
He had no clue about any of this, which showed how well Nathaniel had kept it under wraps.
"Of course. If I wasn't sure, why would I show up in front of your dad?" Evelyn smirked. If she couldn't dig up this much, talking to Oscar was a waste.
Oscar looked at the photos, then at Evelyn. "Since you know so much, you should know I have no pull in the Flores family."
Nathaniel held all the cards. Taking control from him was nearly impossible.
"No rush. You're still the young master for now. To the outside world, you're the heir. If Nathaniel has an 'accident' now, wouldn't you be the rightful successor?" Evelyn smiled slyly.
Oscar felt a chill run down his spine, shocked these words came from Evelyn.
He suddenly felt a bit scared. "What are you planning? Thinking of offing my dad? I suggest you drop it; it won't work."
"Relax. There are other ways. If you're down to cooperate, I'll handle the plan, and you just follow along. How about it? Ready to roll the dice?" Evelyn had a scheme but needed a partner, and Oscar was perfect.
Oscar hesitated. Trusting Evelyn was a gamble. If they failed, he'd be toast.
He was on the fence, and Evelyn could see it.
She stood up. "Alright, mull it over. I'm out."
"Okay." Oscar nodded. He definitely needed to think this through.
