Chapter 1083: You Really Went to Great Lengths

She rushed over to Brandon, staring at the unconscious Joshua, totally confused. "What happened to Joshua?"

"Dermot pushed Mr. Garcia off the second floor!" Brandon accused, glaring at Dermot.

Dermot, looking stunned, quickly said, "I'll take him to the hospital."

"No way! I don't trust you," Brandon shot back, turning to Evelyn. "Ms. Kyte, can you take us to the hospital?"

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up!" Evelyn urged, anxious. Joshua was out cold, and they were still arguing.

Evelyn led Brandon out of the villa, with Dermot trailing behind. "Which hospital?"

"Golombia Hospital; it's close," Brandon replied. Plus, Evelyn worked there.

Dermot frowned and objected, "No! Go to Mercy General Hospital."

"Dermot! Are you trying to kill Mr. Garcia?" Brandon snapped. They had connections at Golombia Hospital, crucial for Mr. Garcia's plan.

Evelyn, already opening the car door, was annoyed. "Dermot, stop wasting time!"

"Evelyn," Dermot began, wanting to explain Joshua's scheme, but he knew she wouldn't believe him now.

Evelyn took Brandon and Joshua away, leaving Dermot fuming.

Dermot thought, 'Joshua, you really went all out!' He realized Joshua had set him up.

He wouldn't let Joshua win.

Determined, Dermot walked away, remembering he still had one of Joshua's men under his control. Once that guy talked, the truth would come out.

At the hospital, Joshua was rushed into the emergency room, leaving Evelyn and Brandon anxiously waiting outside.

"What exactly happened?" Evelyn finally asked, needing details. She couldn't believe Dermot would push Joshua; there had to be more.

Brandon, looking serious, explained, "Mr. Garcia regretted not letting Dr. Gray check his injuries. He wanted to recover but was scared of bad news, so he avoided Leon before."

"But recently, he changed his mind and asked Dermot to bring Leon to the villa."

Brandon continued, "I don't know what they discussed in the study. When I saw them, Dermot was dragging Mr. Garcia out, and they argued in the hallway. Then Dermot pushed him down the stairs."

He stopped, thinking Evelyn should get the picture.

Evelyn looked grim, feeling heavy-hearted.

Why would Dermot push Joshua? It didn't make sense.

To convince her, Brandon added, "Mr. Garcia's tough. If he wasn't paralyzed, Dermot wouldn't stand a chance."

Joshua couldn't fight Dermot because he had saved her.

Evelyn felt a pang of guilt. She was supposed to care for Joshua, but she had only made things worse.
