Chapter 203 Truly Happy for You
"Ms. Kyte."
A familiar voice came from behind, and Evelyn turned around, somewhat surprised. "Miss Barns, what a coincidence."
"Yes, quite a coincidence." Natalie walked over and introduced the man beside her, "This is Evelyn, the famous Dr. Kyte from Morris Hospital, and also Mr. Smith's protege."
"I know, and Mr. Doyle's ex-wife, right?" Oliver replied.
Natalie nodded and leaned against Oliver. "Yes, Ms. Kyte is very impressive. Much better than me, anyway."
"In my heart, no one is more impressive than you," Oliver said.
Evelyn looked at the couple in front of her, acting affectionately, and couldn't help but smile.
There was no way she could believe that Natalie liked Oliver so much, or else she wouldn't have planned to marry Dermot in the first place.
As for her current behavior, Evelyn understood it as a showoff, just not wanting Evelyn to think she was doing poorly.
"Oh, don’t say that." Natalie smiled apologetically and playfully pushed Oliver away.
Oliver also smiled and then looked at Evelyn. "Hello, Ms. Kyte, Oliver from the Stanley family."
"Hello," Evelyn nodded, greeting.
"Mr. Brooks." Oliver also looked at Aidan beside Evelyn.
Aidan nodded.
Although Aidan couldn't afford to provoke the Stanley family now, it didn't mean he would try to please them, especially... Since the moment Natalie married into the Stanley family, the Stanley family had become his enemy.
"I truly feel happy for Miss Barns and Mr. Stanley," Evelyn smiled and spoke, appearing genuinely well-wishing to outsiders, but not to Natalie.
Natalie knew that Evelyn was deliberately mocking her, but she didn't let it go easily.
Evelyn raised her eyebrows, clearly surprised.
"Tomorrow noon, I invite Ms. Kyte to have a meal to apologize. Will Ms. Kyte come?" A provocation disguised as a question.
Aidan frowned, about to speak up to refuse for Evelyn.
But Evelyn spoke first, "Of course."
"Then let's meet tomorrow noon. I will message you the specific location." Natalie said, with a bright smile on her face.
Evelyn nodded. After that, Natalie and Oliver left, as if they didn't come to the supermarket by chance, but deliberately ran into Evelyn.
After the two left, Evelyn looked at the person beside her. Aidan seemed angry.
"Aidan, what’s wrong?"
"Why did you agree?" Aidan's voice was cold, displeased.
"They came to me. If I refuse, they will think I'm scared" She chuckled and added, "Don't worry, Aidan. Natalie isn't stupid enough to do anything tomorrow."
The Barns family is on the verge of bankruptcy, and she just married into the Stanley family. Even if Natalie wants to do something, she doesn't have the ability.
Aidan still frowned, feeling that Natalie had some ulterior motives. "If she doesn't want to do anything, why did she invite you to have dinner?"
"I don't know. Maybe she wants to show off." Although Evelyn didn't think there was anything worth showing off.
But who knows what Natalie is thinking?
