Chapter 357 Once in A Blue Moon
To Lauren, she didn't mind telling Natalie that the matter was related to Evelyn. She even enjoyed watching the two of them fight, as it wouldn't harm her in any way.
Natalie stood still, watching Lauren leave, her face turning pale, and soon anger appeared on her face.
"Evelyn!" she gritted her teeth and called out.
No wonder Lauren suddenly came out to contend for the Stanley Group. It turned out Evelyn was involved!
Thinking of this, she almost didn't hesitate too much and left the Stanley family mansion. In the living room, Mr. Stanley and Oliver were discussing how to deal with Lauren's aggressive pursuit.
"Dad, you have to figure out a way for me. We can't really let Lauren inherit the Stanley Group, right?" Oliver, although not very smart, knew very well that he would be nothing without the Stanley Group.
Not to mention others, even Natalie would probably leave him.
With a stern face, Mr. Stanley pondered for a moment and made a decision, "Don't worry, the dead won't have a chance to compete with you."
The Stanley family's assets would never fall into the hands of outsiders.
Yes, in Mr. Stanley's view, Lauren would eventually marry someone else, and once she did, the Stanley Group would become someone else's property, having no connection with the Stanley family.
The dead? Oliver was terrified for a moment, but he didn't speak up to stop it.
The Stanley Group could only be his!
In Barberts Apartment, Evelyn lay on the sofa reading a book. Although she didn't have to work these days, she didn't idle around. On one hand, she communicated with Sarah on the opening of the Evelyna Fashion brand, and on the other hand, she continued her studies. After all, that's how the medical industry works, she always have to maintain the ability to learn.
At noon, the servants of Doyal Mansion brought her lunch. Evelyn felt embarrassed; she really didn't want to be a bother.
But Dermot insisted, so Evelyn had to agree. She couldn't make that man unhappy just because of this small matter.
Although she didn't want to be a bother, looking at the warm lunch in front of her, Evelyn actually felt very heartwarming. She liked the feeling of being cared for and valued by someone.
Taking a deep breath, Natalie finally made up her mind.
Take a photo with your phone, send it to Dermot, and remind him, "Remember to have dinner on time, okay?"
On the other end, Dermot was dealing with documents and listening to Todd report on the company's situation, completely absorbed. Suddenly, his phone rang with a message tone.
Todd paused, somewhat surprised. He remembered that the CEO's phone was always on silent, so why did it suddenly start ringing?
But he quickly understood the reason behind it.
He saw Dermot picking up his phone, and something on the screen made the corners of his mouth involuntarily lift up.
This must be related to Evelyn, Todd speculated in his mind.
There's no denying it; there aren't many things that can make Dermot happy, and Evelyn happens to be the most important among them.
He replied to Evelyn's message, then looked up at Todd. "Let's deal with the remaining matters in the afternoon, and go have lunch first."
"Lunch?" Todd seemed to hear something unimaginable.
The CEO himself actually suggested going to lunch? Did the sun rise from the west?
"Go ahead," Dermot waved him off.
Todd nodded, still a bit bewildered. He took a few steps and then stopped to look at Dermot. "What about you, Mr. Doyle?"
"After you finish eating, bring me a portion. I'll finish going through the documents," Dermot said as he put down his phone and continued his work.
Hearing his words, Todd felt relieved instead. Mr. Doyle was still Mr. Doyle, always the workaholic.
But things were always better than before.
