Chapter 317 My Boyfriend
Dermot stiffened, his face becoming a little pale. "To be honest, I haven't really thought about that."
"You're so confident that I'll accept?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow, curious as to where Dermot's confidence came from.
"Well, it's a feeling, I feel like you don't hate me that much, and you even have some feelings for me," Dermot spoke honestly, without any falsehoods at this moment.
Evelyn didn't refute this statement, although she didn't want to admit it, what Dermot said was indeed true.
She didn't even know when she had stopped disliking this man and even started to have feelings for him...
"If you really don't like me, I won't give up, I will still continue to like you," Dermot thought and made a decision.
He didn't want to give up easily, even if Evelyn rejected him.
It must be said that Dermot's words really touched Evelyn. She didn't expect him to be so persistent.
He didn't think he would ever be separated from Evelyn.
"Are you sure?" Evelyn stared at him, asking each word carefully.
Dermot met her gaze and nodded solemnly.
Evelyn chuckled softly, "Well then, hello, my boyfriend."
Happiness came so suddenly that Dermot didn't react at first. He stood there in a daze, somewhat absent-minded.
It wasn't until the applause and fireworks ignited in the mansion that he snapped out of it.
Evelyn also froze, looking at Ruby Kite, Sarah, Keith, and even Craig walking in. Even Niall was there. She was shocked and delighted.
"Why...why did you bring them too?" Evelyn felt a bit embarrassed, especially thinking about how they heard what Dermot had just said. She wished she could find a hole to hide in.
Dermot regained his senses and smiled, saying to her, "Happiness should be witnessed by everyone, don't you think?"
Evelyn didn't say anything, but she couldn't deny that she was truly surrounded by happiness at this moment.
"Evelyn, that's not right. As your best friend, of course I had to witness your happiness." Ruby Kite walked up with a cheerful smile.
Sarah also approached and patted Evelyn's shoulder, "Just as I guessed, you and Dermot are indeed together."
Since the moment Sarah saw Evelyn and Dermot together, she felt they would end up together. Now it seemed her speculation was correct.
"Oh, it looks like I really didn't have a chance." Keith also walked out, pretending to be disappointed.
Evelyn glanced at him, annoyed at Keith's lack of seriousness, not afraid that she would misunderstand.
Keith shrugged, seemingly unaffected.
Dermot smiled and walked to Evelyn's side, presenting her with a gift he had already prepared.
Evelyn took it and opened it, feeling a bit surprised.
It turned out to be the bracelet from the auction a long time ago, the one Dermot and Aidan had fought over. Dermot had won it and publicly offered it to her, but she had refused.
"You won't reject it this time, will you?" the man smiled, as he had kept this bracelet, believing it would eventually belong to Evelyn.
Evelyn glared at him, doubting whether this man was holding a grudge against her for rejecting him publicly before.
