Chapter 733 It's Not Her!

In the room, Evelyn sat in front of the computer. She had just sent those photos to Niall, asking him to check if they were photoshopped.

Soon, the message came back, and the answer surprisedher—they weren't photoshopped.

Could it be that her mother was really in Dora's hands?

But if that were the case, why didn't she say anything before? She waited until now, wasn't it a bit too late?

What about the woman in the photo?

For some reason, although the woman had the same face as her mother, Evelyn just felt something was off. There wasn't that instinctive sense of blood relation.

But she didn't dare to take the risk. What if it really was her mother?

No matter what, she had to ask Blake tomorrow for his confirmation. If her mother was really in Dora's hands, no matter what it cost, she had to rescue her.

Compared to being in Dora's hands, Evelyn actually thought it might be better if her mother was missing. At least that would mean she hadn't been tortured all these years.

If she really was in Dora's hands, Evelyn couldn't even imagine what her mother had gone through all these years.

That night, Evelyn didn't sleep well. She dreamt of her mother, who was locked in a small, dark room, never seeing the light of day.

Evelyn woke up in fright. It was just dawn, but she was already wide awake.

She got out of bed to wash up and walked out of her room.

Blake was already up. He always got up early because he was a total workaholic.

"Evelyn." Seeing her come out, Blake was a bit surprised. "There's still a while before work. Why not go back to sleep?"

"Something's on my mind, so I can't sleep,"  Evelyn replied.

She glanced at the room where Dora was, and then said to Blake, "Let's go to your study. I need to talk to you."

Her serious expression made Blake's face turn solemn as well.

They walked into the study. As soon as they sat down, Evelyn handed over the photos. "Take a look."

Blake took the photos with a puzzled look. The next second, he shot up from his chair, staring at the photos in disbelief.

He looked at the photos, then at Evelyn, wanting to ask what was going on.

"These were given by Dora yesterday. She said my mother is under her control," Evelyn said honestly.

Blake frowned, finding it strange. "In her hands? But the people who took your mother back then were clearly someone she knew, not Dora's men."

If they were Dora's people, Evelyn's mother would have recognized them and wouldn't have gone with them.

"I remember you telling me that before, but how do you explain these photos? I had someone check; they're not photoshopped," Evelyn said. She frowned as well, for it was all too strange.

Blake waved his hand and sat back down. "Let me take a good look."

Blake then sat in the chair and examined the photos silently. Evelyn stood beside him quietly.

She wasn't very familiar with her mother, so she couldn't tell much.

But Blake was different. He and her mother were the closest of anyone. If there was anything wrong, he would definitely notice.

Evelyn hoped he could find out something. She really didn't want her mother to be under Dora's control.

Time dragged by. No one knew how much time had passed. Then Blake seemed to realize something. "It's not her."

Evelyn immediately stepped forward, quickly asking, "What do you mean? Isn't she my mother?"
