Chapter 380 Giving Him a Chance
Grandpa Doyle sighed helplessly and spoke after a pause, "Dermot, he is your father, after all..." "I don't have a father like him!"
Dermot interrupted Grandpa Doyle, his face darkening. "My father died many years ago, just like you've been saying, right?"
Benjamin's face turned grim, unable to accept his son claiming that he had died many years ago. Just as he was about to speak, Grandpa Doyle shouted angrily, "Shut up! If you had fulfilled your responsibilities as a father, Dermot wouldn't hold such deep grievances against you!"
Benjamin's face remained stern as he faced Grandpa Doyle, reluctant to say anything further.
but Dermot is the heir of the Doyle family business, the Doyle Group. Grandpa Doyle couldn't let Dermot bear the burden alone, even if it meant bringing Benjamin, whom Dermot resented, back into their lives.
Despite the tension between Dermot and Benjamin, Grandpa Doyle hoped that Dermot would eventually give his father a chance to make amends. Dermot's departure left a heavy atmosphere in the room, but Benjamin assured Grandpa Doyle that given time, Dermot would come around. Grandpa Doyle, filled with dissatisfaction, warned Benjamin not to harm Dermot, as their bond as father and son still held importance.
Benjamin understood the gravity of the situation and promised not to jeopardize their relationship. For now, the future of the Doyle Group and Dermot's acceptance of Benjamin remained uncertain.
Dermot is someone he has grown up with since childhood, and they have always been close. He would never allow Benjamin to harm Dermot.
"Benjamin Marina, don't worry. He is my son. How could I do anything to him?" says Grandpa Doyle.
"You don't need to intervene in Dermot and Evelyn's affair," Grandpa Doyle adds.
This statement displeases Benjamin, but he doesn't express it. He simply replies, "Don't worry, I know what to do."
He doesn't know what Evelyn did to earn the protection of both of these individuals. It's unbelievable that they agreed to let a regular woman like her marry into the Doyle family.
Luckily, he came back in time; otherwise, he would have made the same mistake again.
