Chapter 1283: Niall Gets Stabbed
Niall naturally couldn't just watch Lily get into trouble, so he eventually broke free from the two men holding him and rushed to Lily, pushing away Conrad, who was trying to rape her.
"Lily, don't be afraid!" Niall quickly pulled her into his arms and moved her to the side.
Conrad seemed enraged and immediately grabbed a dagger from nearby, pointing it at Niall. "You want to die, huh? Do you even know where you are? Even if I kill you today, no one would dare to mess with me!"
Niall looked at him calmly. "Isn't it money you want? I'll give you money, just let us go."
"It was about money, but now, I don't want money. I want Lily!" Conrad was already infuriated. In all these years, no one had ever dared to provoke him.
Lily clung tightly to Niall, terrified. "Niall, you should go; don't worry about me."
"Don't talk nonsense," Niall glanced back at her. Leaving Lily behind was clearly not an option.
"Leave Lily here, apologize to me, and give me a hundred thousand dollars, and I might consider letting you go," Conrad said again, walking toward Niall with the dagger.
At that moment, Niall deeply regretted not learning some martial arts when Evelyn did. If he had, he wouldn't be so powerless now.
"I advise you not to do anything rash. This is a society governed by law," Niall said, trying to calm the other party down.
Unfortunately, these people never took the law seriously. "For ordinary people like you, sure, it's a society governed by law. For us, it's survival of the fittest."
To them, the law was nothing.
Conrad was backed by the powerful Diaz family, one of the top ten families in Golombia. Naturally, he behaved recklessly and didn’t take someone with a bit of wealth like Niall seriously.
Niall didn't say anything more. He knew that in this situation, nothing he said would make a difference.
Niall turned his head and whispered in Lily's ear, "I'll rush up and hold them off. You take the chance to run!"
"Niall!" Lily shook her head. They couldn't do that; it was too dangerous.
However, Niall didn't listen to her. "Be good, listen to me. Once you're out, find Aidan to come save me."
Lily's eyes reddened. Was there still time?
Conrad had already reached Niall with the dagger, smiling at him. "So, have you made up your mind?"
"I have," Niall said.
"Since you've made up your mind, apologizing me first," Conrad said smugly.
Niall glared at him, a cold smile on his face. Then, in a flash, he threw a punch, catching the man off guard. "Damn it!"
"Lily, run!" Niall shouted.
His movements were quick, and Lily was prepared. She knew that staying there would not only be of no help to Niall but would also cause him trouble.
So, she decided to run and find Aidan. It was their only chance of survival.
Before the others in the room could react, Lily had already reached the door. However, she underestimated the people there.
When she opened the door, two bodyguards were standing outside, looking at her coldly.
"I'll fight you all!" Niall growled, grabbing Conrad and charging out.
Conrad was truly enraged and immediately stabbed Niall in the abdomen with the dagger. "Fuck you! I'll kill you today!"
