Chapter 458 Luke's Identity

On the day of the free clinic, Evelyn was there early, sitting at the clinic site. Seeing the sea of people in front of her, she couldn't help but marvel at the dean's foresight. Many people had come for the free clinic due to the plane incident.

It was hard to say, though, how many of them genuinely came for medical treatment. Evelyn didn't care about that. Thankfully there was triage, so she knew that the patients who came to her were genuine.

She spent the entire day busy, and Dermot was not far away, his gaze never leaving Evelyn for a moment. In the driver's seat, Todd also noticed that the attention his boss was giving Evelyn had gone a bit overboard.

He couldn't help but advise, "Mr. Doyle, Ms. Kyte is safe, you don't need to be with her all the time."

"How do you know she's safe? What if there's danger?" Dermot said, but his gaze still didn't waver. Todd smiled wryly, thinking to himself that it was broad daylight, how could there be any danger?

"Mr. Doyle, this kind of constant surveillance will put a lot of pressure on Ms. Kyte." Todd had no choice but to say this. Sure enough, as soon as he spoke, Dermot had to retract his gaze.

"But... I'm also worried about her."

"I know you're worried about her, but even so, you shouldn't be watching her every second. No one can handle that," he said.

Dermot's face changed dramatically. No one can handle it? Thinking of what Evelyn said yesterday, Dermot had to admit, even if he didn't want to, that Evelyn seemed genuinely annoyed with him.

He sighed and rubbed his head. "I don't know what's wrong with me."

"Have you seen Dr. Hu recently?" Todd weakly asked. Remembering that Dermot, had suddenly asked him to find a psychologist, so he did.

At that time, he was happy, thinking that his boss had finally come to terms with it. But now it seemed that the doctor wasn’t helping. Not only did it not alleviate Dermot's psychological issues, but it seemed to have the opposite effect and worsened them instead.

Dermot nodded, "I go there every day, but I feel like it's not very effective."

Todd had to agree with him, he felt the same way but didn't say anything, instead comforted him.

"Perhaps it's just a phase? Don't we all go through this before we get better?" As soon as he spoke, Todd felt like he had said something he shouldn't have. Illness? How could he say that the president is ill?

Fortunately, Dermot didn't mind and just continued to frown, feeling frustrated, "I hope so."

He also hoped this was a sign of getting better, rather than something that would continue. The reason why he suddenly thought about seeing a psychologist was because Evelyn had mentioned his fear of the dark before.

After thinking it over, he felt it was time to face it and had Todd find Dr. Taylor for him. It was said that Dr. Taylor was the best psychologist in the country, but he couldn't help but feel that it wasn't very effective.

Not dwelling on that thought, he asked, "Have you checked on Benjamin?"

Yesterday, Evelyn suddenly asked if Benjamin and Keith's mother had a son, and he understood that Evelyn must have had a reason to ask such a question.

"I've already checked," Todd handed over the information, "Mr. Doyle Sr. does have a son."

Todd was speechless. So there really was a bastard child, and the other party didn't hide it at all, it was easy to find out with just a simple search. Dermot looked at Luke's information, his eyes cold.

"No wonder he suddenly came back to fight for control of the Doyle Group. It turns out he wanted to secure something for his son." He knew it, how could someone who had been away for so many years suddenly come back?

And as soon as he returned, he acted like he wanted to take back control of the Doyle Group. There must be a reason for it.
