Chapter 667 I Don't Care

Blake listened to Evelyn's words, feeling helpless. Evelyn really didn't give him any face.

"I know you're angry, but Lucia is my daughter after all. Even if she's completely wrong, I can't just ignore her." Blake sighed. He had to do at least what a father should do.

Evelyn’s face was stern, very disappointed by Blake's decision. "This is Lucia's fault. If someone has to pay the price, why can't it be her?"

"We are in the middle of cooperating with the Allen family, and Lucia did something like this. If you side with her, do you want to ruin the cooperation?" Evelyn was angry, feeling that Blake was somewhat being unreasonable.

"So, what if she's your daughter? Should a daughter be unconditionally tolerated?"

Blake replied, "Evey, if this happened to you, I would ..."

"I wouldn't do such a thing," Evelyn interrupted him. Even if she liked someone, she wouldn't plot against them.

Blake believed she wouldn't do it, but Lucia wasn't her.
"Evey, no matter what, I can't just ignore Lucia."

He still held on to this idea, unable to ignore it. This meant that he was destined to fall out with the Allen family because of Lucia.

Evelyn glanced at him. Her expression indifferent. She used to think Blake was sensible. Even though he hadn't raised her before, she could still call him father without resentment.

However, she realized now that Blake wasn't as good as she thought.

"In that case, it's up to you." Evelyn didn't want to say more, turning to leave.

She wouldn't stand by Lucia as Blake did. She was going to find Wade and figure out a way to protect him.

She couldn't let Lucia's plan succeed, or else Wade's lifelong happiness would be ruined.

Watching Evelyn leave, Blake wanted to call out to stop her, but in the end, he didn't say a word. All he could do was helplessly say, 'What on earth have I done to deserve this?'

When Blake arrived at the Kyte family, both Lucia and Dora were in the living room. When they saw him, they instantly tensed up.

Blake didn't look at Lucia, but instead turned to Dora. "Is this how you are as a mother?"

Dora didn't say anything, which was as good as admitting it.

If she could, she wouldn't want Lucia to resort to such means, but she had no choice. Lucia insisted, and Blake favored Evelyn, leaving her with no other option.

"After all these years, you haven't changed at all, still so malicious," Blake couldn't help but curse. If he had known earlier, he would have rather died than yield.

Dora chuckled lightly, looking at Blake. "Blake, do you think it's meaningful to say these things now? The deed was done. We should be thinking about what to do next, not standing here arguing."

She still had some understanding of Blake.

Although he was biased towards Evelyn now, when it came to Lucia, he couldn't truly ignore her. So, in the end, he would definitely stand by their side.

"You really..." Blake pointed at her, unable to find the right words to curse her.

Lucia shrank next to Dora, trembling as she looked at Blake. "Dad, I really like Wade. Please help me once."

"Shut up!" Blake roared, so angry he wanted to hit someone. "You like him? Does he like you? Do you realize that using this method will make Wade look down on you from the bottom of his heart?"

"I don't care. As long as I can marry him, I don't care about anything else." Let him look down on her; she didn't care. There would be plenty of time in the future, and she would definitely win Wade's heart.
