Chapter 1015: Benjamin Is about to Wake up
Dermot stayed calm after hearing the news; he expected it. "Lots of families in Golombia have their eyes on the Doyle family. They didn't have a chance before, but now they do, so of course, they're going after them."
"If Randy Doyle doesn't find a solution soon, things will get worse, and the Doyle Group won't last much longer."
The Doyle Group going bankrupt wouldn't be surprising.
After all, they weren't exactly law-abiding.
"But what if Randy Doyle would rather let the Doyle Group collapse than ask for your help?" Todd knew Dermot wanted to take over the Doyle family and worried Randy might be too stubborn to give in.
Dermot sneered, "Don't worry. When push comes to shove, Randy won't just sit back and let that happen."
Dermot knew how much Randy valued the family.
So, he was sure Randy would eventually compromise to save them.
"Okay." Todd trusted Dermot completely.
He hadn't left yet when Dermot looked at him. "Anything else?"
"The hospital called. They said Benjamin Doyle seems to be waking up." Todd was annoyed. He knew Dermot had a grudge against Benjamin and wouldn't acknowledge him as his father.
This surprised Dermot. That guy could actually wake up?
"Does Luke know?" Right now, Luke was his son, and Dermot didn't care about Benjamin.
Dermot had people watching him to prevent trouble, not out of concern.
"He knows." Todd nodded.
Dermot waved his hand. "That's fine then. Let him handle it; we don't need to get involved."
"Understood." Todd wasn't surprised but knew he should inform Dermot anyway.
After a moment, Dermot said, "If he really wakes up, send someone to bring my grandfather from Moris City. I was worried with him being there, and now's a good time to bring him over."
Dermot had worried that bringing Henry over would make him realize something had happened to Benjamin, and he wouldn't handle it well.
But now that Benjamin was waking up, he didn't worry anymore.
"Mr. Henry Doyle probably won't come. He can't bear to leave Moris City," Todd said.
"Just tell him, 'Do you want to see your grandson become the head of the Doyle family?' If he does, he'll come." This was likely Henry's obsession, and Dermot's words might persuade him.
Todd nodded and left.
After Todd left, Dermot took out his computer to handle some work and then went out. He glanced back at Evelyn's house across the street and sighed.
He probably wouldn't be coming back here for a long time.
Starting the car, he drove to Joshua's villa.
At noon, when Evelyn and Joshua finished lunch and were walking in the garden, Dermot opened the window of the neighboring villa, standing on the second floor and smiling at them.
"Evelyn, have you eaten?"
The two villas were close enough that Evelyn and Joshua, in the garden, could easily see and hear him.
Their faces showed different reactions.
Evelyn looked surprised, while Joshua's eyes burned with murderous intent toward Dermot.
"What are you doing here?" Evelyn asked, snapping out of her surprise.
