Chapter 306 Greedy Person
"What about your uncle's side?" Sarah knew Evelyn was grateful to her uncle, so she was a little worried.
"My uncle will understand. He's not someone who's unreasonable." Evelyn still had some confidence in him.
After speaking, Evelyn cautioned, "By the way, try not to show yourself in front of her. I've only told her that the company belongs to a friend of mine, and she doesn't know you're involved."
If Emily Morgans found out that Sarah was the general manager of the company, she would definitely become arrogant. After all, Sarah was also a resident of the village and acquainted with Emily Morgans. Having acquaintances in the company would make Emily Morgans even more fearless.
"Okay, don't worry. She won't have the opportunity to come to this floor under normal circumstances," Sarah assured. After all, this floor was exclusive to the management team, and Emily Morgans was currently just a small employee.
Sarah was about to ask about the progress between Evelyn and Dermot, when the office door was pushed open.
Evelyn couldn't help but wonder who would enter without knocking.
Upon turning her head, she realized that it was an old acquaintance she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Oh, Evelyn is here too," Keith walked over as if he knew her well, sat on the sofa, and judging by their level of familiarity, he must come here often.
Recently, Evelyn had been wondering why Keith hadn't been around her, not knowing where he went.
But now she understood.
Her gaze shifted between Keith and Sarah.
With a smile, Evelyn looked at Sarah and said, "Sarah, won't you tell me?"
"What do you want me to say?" Sarah looked confused, but upon seeing Evelyn's mischievous smile, she immediately understood and said, "Don't let your imagination run wild. Keith and I just have a normal relationship."
"A normal relationship?" Could a normal relationship come here as if it were their own home?
Seeing that Evelyn didn't believe her, Sarah quickly explained, "He said he wanted to cooperate with the company, so that's why we have been in contact."
Otherwise, she wouldn't bother with someone like Keith, who was just a kid.
"Cooperate?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow, not looking at Sarah anymore, but at Keith.
Keith cleared his throat and dared not meet Evelyn's gaze. "Yes, the Kartland family is planning to enter the fashion industry, so we're here to gain experience. Cooperation is bound to happen sooner or later."
Evelyn found it hard to believe Keith's words. The Kartland family had never intervened in the fashion industry for so many years, so who would believe that they suddenly wanted to enter it?
Evelyn certainly didn't.
"Since Evelyn is here, let's have lunch together." Keith quickly changed the subject, hoping to divert Evelyn's attention.
Evelyn didn't answer. She leaned against the sofa, not looking at Keith, but at Sarah. "Will Sarah go?"
"Of course, we'll go together." Before Sarah could answer, Keith interjected.
Sarah furrowed her brows. Actually, she didn't want to go. Keith had been inviting her out for meals recently, but Sarah didn't think their relationship was that close, so she had been refusing. But now...
"If Evelyn is going, then let's go together." Sarah said.
Evelyn smirked and looked at Keith. "So now it's up to me to decide, huh?"
"You wouldn't embarrass me, would you?" Keith forced a smile, but it was clearly strained.
He could tell from Evelyn's eyes that she was saying: I see right through your intentions, and there's no way I'm agreeing!
"My reputation is valuable." Evelyn said.
Keith's expression changed slightly, but he still gritted his teeth and said, "The Kartland family has many high-end shopping malls across the country. If you want your brand to enter, I can give you preferential treatment."
"Preferential treatment?" Evelyn chuckled as if hearing a joke. "The best location, half the rent."
"Impossible!" Keith immediately rejected the idea. This was ridiculous. Half the rent? Evelyn was asking for too much.
