Chapter 1389 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (64)
Evelyn and Dermot returned to the villa to find that Phoebe and Aidan had finished their conversation. At this moment, even Evelyn could sense a bit of flirtation between Phoebe and Aidan. She knew that he had probably already convinced Phoebe.
"Aidan," Evelyn called out as she walked in, interrupting the flirtation between Phoebe and Aidan.
Phoebe instantly blushed, and Aidan looked a bit embarrassed. "I need you to take care of Phoebe and Theodore for a while."
"Don't worry, Aidan. As long as I'm here, they'll be fine." Nowadays, no one would dare mess with Evelyn.
Even if the Lowe family was powerful, they couldn't handle the combined forces of several major families. Currently, Evelyn could unite several of the top ten families in the country, making the Lowe family no match.
Aidan also knew that Phoebe and Theodore were safest with Evelyn, so he didn't argue. "I'll head back now. There's someone watching the villa entrance, and I don't want any unexpected incidents."
Although he thought it was unlikely, he still wanted to be cautious.
"Alright, let Dermot take you back," Evelyn said.
Neither Dermot nor Aidan had any objections, and they quickly left the villa.
After they left, Evelyn walked over to Phoebe. "Did Aidan explain everything to you? Are you still mad?"
"Of course I'm mad, but I understand him," Phoebe said with a smile.
"As long as you understand. Given Aidan's situation, he had no other choice. Although Dermot and I could help him, you know his personality; he doesn't want me to get involved." Even though Evelyn didn't say it, Aidan surely knew that the Kyte family and the Doyle family alone could handle the Lowe family, but it would have some impact on them. He didn't want them to get involved because he was worried about the impact on them.
"I know. I'll support him, and I believe he can handle it," Phoebe said.
She thought, 'It's just some fake news, and maybe Aidan will meet some women, but nothing will happen. I won't be too upset since there won't be an engagement or marriage anyway.'
At this moment, she probably couldn't imagine that news of Aidan's engagement would soon spread throughout the country.
The distance between the two villas wasn't short; it took about twenty minutes to drive, making the ride relatively quiet and a bit uncomfortable.
"Are you and Evelyn doing well?" Aidan broke the silence first. Although he still didn't like Dermot much, after Dermot and Evelyn got married, he couldn't find any fault, so he had to convince himself to let it go.
Dermot, driving the car, replied, "We're doing well."
"When are you planning to have kids?" Aidan asked again.
Dermot looked exasperated. "If you can't find a topic, we don't have to talk."
Aidan fell silent. He and Dermot really didn't have much to talk about; neither of them was talkative.
The car continued to drive, and after Aidan fell silent, Dermot took the initiative to ask, "Sienna won't believe you that easily."
"Yeah, I know." Aidan nodded. "She wants me to get engaged to Ariana, and then she'll make me the vice president of the Lowe Group."
"You didn't agree, did you?" Dermot glanced at Aidan.
"I did agree."
Dermot rolled his eyes at him. "Did you tell Phoebe?"
"No," Aidan replied.
