Chapter 219 What Exactly Are You Doing?
Evelyn left in a hurry without having a chance to say anything to Dermot, so he called her when he couldn't find her, and thus learned about Ruby Kite's situation.
"Don't worry too much,. I'll immediately send people to look for her as well." he said to Evelyn over the phone.
"Thank you." she thanked himsaid, knowing that Dermot would help her find the person faster.
After hanging up the phone, Dermot immediately instructed Todd to find someone. It seemed like it wasn't enough, so he dialcalled Craig's number.
"Help me find someone." he said directly as soon as the call connected.
"Who?" Craig's voice was indifferent. Dermot didn't know what he was up to, but at this moment, he couldn't spare the time to ask, so he told him the specific information about Ruby Kite.
Unexpectedly, Craig remained silent for a long time after listening, neither confirming nor denying. This puzzled Dermot.
"Is there a problem?" Dermot asked. For Craig, finding someone should be an extremely simple matter, so this kind of reaction was a first.
After a long while, Dermot heard the sound of Craig's voice on the other end of the phone .
Craig's soft laughter came through. "She really does have a good friend, doesn't she?"
"What do you mean?" The man frowned and sensed something amiss in Craig's words.
"No needNo need to search, investigate, Sshe's with me." There was nothing for him to hide from Dermot, or rather, he never intended to hide anything from the beginning.
This shocked Dermot, and after a moment of bewilderment, he asked, "What are you saying? She's with you? What happened?"
"It's complicated to explain in a short time." He rubbed his temples, feeling somewhat irritated.
"I'm coming over now, and you better explain it to me clearly." Dermot hung up the phone and immediately drove to Craig's mansion.
Craig was his good brotherfriend, and Evelyn was someone he liked. If Craigthe other party really did something to Ruby Kite, Evelyn wouldn't easily let him go. Dermot felt that he would be in a difficult position, so he had to figure things out in advance.
On the other side, Evelyn came out of the police station and received a call from Aidan. She thought it would be news about Ruby Kite, but it turned out to be disappointing.
"Evelyn, this actually explains something." Aidan reminded her.
"What?" Evelyn got into a taxi, not understanding Aidan's meaning.
"I can't find any information about the other partyman in Moris City, which means they are stronger than me. It won't take long to find the target." After all, there were not many who were stronger than him in this city.
Evelyn understood and her face became serious. "I see. I'll wait for Dermot's update. If he can't find anything either..."
If Dermot couldn't find anything, then Evelyn wouldn't be able to determine who the other partyman was.
At this moment, Aidan felt a bit disheartened. He didn't want Evelyn to ask Dermot for help, but in this situation, he truly couldn't be of much assistance. He could only watch Evelyn go to find Dermot.
When Dermot arrived at Victoria Villa, Craig had already sent someone to wait for him at the entrance. The bodyguard didn't lead him through the main hall, but took him through a side door directly to Craig's study, and Dermot immediately felt something was off.
But he didn't ask too much and followed the bodyguard into the study, where he saw Craig sitting there.
"You're here?" Craig spoke as Dermot arrived, his voice heavy and his mood not good.
Dermot walked up to him. "What's going on? Don't tell me Ruby Kite is in the mansion!"
Craig looked at him, didn't say anything, but it was evident in his eyes that Dermot was right.
had guessed correctly.
"What exactly are you doing?" Dermot couldn't help but get angry.
