Chapter 140 Evelyn's Disappearance
"Attack together!"
Jack spoke up, not wanting to show off alone, if possible, he didn't want to expose at all.
Soon after, the several people surrounded and attacked Evelyn together.
Evelyn realized that the situation was not good, preparing to run first, but the other side clearly didn't give her a chance, surrounding her, not giving her any chance to escape.
The outcome was clear, she was knocked unconscious on the ground.
before losing consciousness, what Evelyn saw was the relieved expressions of the few people. She thought to she was unlucky, encountering people with such strong skills consecutively.
And then, she lost consciousness.
Evelyn disappeared.
When Dermot received the news, he left the meeting, leaving behind a confused group of executives.
The surveillance footage came out, and Evelyn's figure soon appeared in the footage. It was clear that she was following a few men. As for what they said and where they went, no one knew.
"Continue investigating." Dermot ordered with a stern face, then he left the surveillance room.
He dialed Natalie's number on his phone, "Where is Evelyn?"
"Ms. Kyte?" Natalie on the other end of the phone was puzzled, she asked.
"What happened to Ms. Kyte? I've been with you all day and haven't seen her," Dermot frowned, but regained his composure. Natalie had been by his side all day, leaving no opportunity to harm Evelyn.
If it's not her, then who could it be? Dermot thought of Kenny and asked coldly, "Where's Kenny? Where is he?"
"Kenny? I'm not sure either," Natalie added, "Maybe he's at home. He hasn't been going out much lately."
Dermot snorted in disdain, then hung up the phone and drove straight to the Barns family mansion, filled with anger.
On the other end, Natalie hung up the phone, her face full of maliciousness.
At Kenny should have met the King of Hell down below, right?
Don't worry, Dermot, you will find Evelyn soon. I won't let anything happen to her.
She laughed loudly.
Dermot found out where Evelyn had last been seen. There was no trace of her near a hotel, which naturally led to the assumption that she might be in the hotel.
He rushed in with his people, searching room by room because they didn't know where she was.
On the top floor of the hotel, the presidential suite.
Evelyn woke up in a daze, looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings, and was lost.
But she snapped back to reality and became alert, looking around cautiously.
However, it was eerily silent, with no signs of any person. Only the bedroom not far away had its door open, as if waiting for her to enter.
After a moment of hesitation, Evelyn stood up and prepared to walk in. Since the other party brought her here, it wouldn't be easy to escape. Instead of that, she decided to see what they were up to.
Just a few steps into the walk, Evelyn felt that something was wrong. The ground was damp, as if there was water.
She lowered her head, her face turning pale.
It wasn't water, it was blood!
Not only on the floor, but on her body and even on her hands. However, the blood on her hands seemed to have been washed by someone, not very obvious, which was why she didn't notice it at first.
feeling dizzy, Evelyn's mind froze. What was going on? Where did the blood come from? Whose blood?
Unable to resist, her gaze followed the trail of blood towards the inside of the bedroom...
Gritting her teeth, she walked towards the bedroom, but just as she arrived at the door, there was a sound of impact at the entrance.
Evelyn was about to shout to stop, but the door was slammed open.
