Aidan had called Evelyn earlier, saying he had a surprise for her. But to Joshua, it might not necessarily be a pleasant one.
"Better be a surprise. If it's a shock, it means your existence is meaningless," Aidan said coldly. He didn't have much fondness for Joshua either.
However, compared to Dermot, Joshua was slightly better. After all, they grew up together and could be trusted.
Joshua shrugged helplessly and said jokingly, "Evelyn, it better be a surprise, or I'll probably get packed up and sent away."
Aidan's flight was landing at Golombia Airport the next morning, which happened to be a Saturday. Evelyn got up early to pick him up.
When Evelyn came downstairs, she was surprised to see Dora sitting in the dining room having breakfast. Dora didn't say a word to Evelyn, acting as if she didn't exist.

Evelyn stopped thinking about that and focused entirely on the situation at hand.
As they approached, Evelyn knew full well that these people wouldn't engage in hand-to-hand combat. They were completely unrestrained, not caring about the consequences of firing guns in Golombia.
In this scenario, even if Evelyn could take on ten people at once, facing armed opponents left her no choice but to surrender.
Gunshots rang out. These men didn't waste a single word; their only goal was clear, that was to kill Evelyn.
