Chapter 1358 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (33)

Just as Byron was lost in thought, the office door swung open, and in strolled Aidan. Byron's head snapped towards the door almost on instinct.

Aidan, decked out in a dark blue suit, sauntered into the conference room. His eyes were cold, showing zero emotion as he glanced at Byron.

Aidan plopped down on the sofa, finally giving Byron a look. "What do you want?" His tone was icy, but that was par for the course; he had no love for anyone in the Lowe family.

Byron shook himself out of his daze, staring at this now-stranger Aidan, and for a second, he was at a loss for words.

Aidan had turned into someone Byron barely recognized, and it freaked him out a bit. Taking a deep breath, Byron finally said, "I'm your father, you know that, right?"

They could dig into Aidan's background, so Aidan should've been able to do the same.

Aidan didn't bother answering that. Instead, he repeated, "I don't care who you are. What do you want from me?"

Byron's face went pale, clearly not expecting Aidan to be so hostile. "Aidan, you really did get lost back then. Your mom and I have been searching for you all these years. You can't blame us for that!"

Aidan just sneered, staying silent.

"And you were six when you got lost. You should remember your parents. Why didn't you ever come looking for us?" Byron figured that even if Aidan had been snatched by traffickers and couldn't escape as a kid, he should've been able to find them once he grew up, especially now that he was powerful and influential.

But Aidan never came looking. If Sienna hadn't found out who he was, they might never have known he was also in Golombia and had become so successful.

Aidan was initially indifferent, but Byron's words made him pause. "You said I got lost when I was six?"

"Yeah, I even taught you to memorize phone numbers back then. If you had the chance, you would've contacted us." Byron couldn't wrap his head around why Aidan had never reached out.

Aidan frowned, sensing something was off. He had no memories before the age of six; his memories started from when Evelyn's grandpa took him in.

A six-year-old shouldn't forget everything. He tried hard to remember but came up blank. Instead, a sharp pain hit, making his face go pale.

Seeing this, Byron rushed over to support him, worried. "Are you trying to remember? It's okay if you can't. Just know your mom and I love you. We were devastated when you got lost. Now that we've found you, we're thrilled. We hope you'll come back to the Lowe family. That's your real home."

Feeling Byron's touch, Aidan recoiled and pushed him away. "I'm not going back with you."

"Aidan."

"I'm not your son," Aidan cut him off coldly. "No matter whose fault it was back then, I've been away from the Lowe family for years, and I don't need parents now."

Even if everything Byron said was true, Aidan didn't care.

"Aidan, the Lowe family is more powerful than you think. Even if you don't want to acknowledge us, can you really give up the Lowe family's fortune?" Byron had looked into Aidan, knowing he was capable and had built his group from the ground up. But no matter how tough it was, the current Brooks Group was still way behind the Lowe family.

Byron figured any smart person wouldn't pass up the chance to inherit the Lowe family's wealth.
