Evelyn was also very happy to see Sarah. It had been a while since they last met. "I thought you weren't at the company."
Recently, Sarah had been busy with the Darkmoon brand, and Evelyn knew this, so she hadn't gone to confront her.
But seeing her in a good mood now, Evelyn thought things had gone well. "Looks like everything went smoothly, right?"
"Of course, when have I ever failed at anything?" Sarah smiled. She was always capable, and now with Evelyn backing her, everyone knew Evelyn was the future heir of the Kyte family. Just that alone made people hesitant to trouble Sarah.
Evelyn gave her a thumbs up. "I know you're capable, alright?"
Seeing them chat, Luke quickly finished his meal. "You guys chat, I'm heading back to the office to look at some files."
"Don't overwork yourself," Evelyn said with concern. After all, if Luke got exhausted, she really wouldn't have anyone to replace him.
Even though Luke knew the reason behind it, he was still quite happy. "Don't worry, and I won't let you down."
With that, he got up and left the cafeteria.
At the table, only Evelyn and Sarah were left.
"I used to be very wary of Luke, always feeling he had bad intentions. But after spending time with him these days, I think he's pretty nice," Sarah said with a smile, watching Luke's departing figure.
Evelyn nodded; she thought so too.
Suddenly, Sarah turned to her. "Anyway, you're single now. Why not give him a try? I think he has some feelings for you."
Although Benjamin's personality wasn't great, he was quite good-looking, and Luke and Dermot were both handsome too.
Luke might not be as good-looking as Dermot, but he wasn't bad either. At least in Sarah's eyes, he was already a handsome guy.
Evelyn was taken aback, not expecting Sarah to say that. "Instead of worrying about me, you should worry about yourself. I heard Keith had moved the Kartland family to Golombia for you."
"What do you mean for me? He's clearly doing what's best for his development, okay?"
Evelyn chuckled, resting her chin on her hand. "Really? Are you sure it has nothing to do with you?"
She hadn't seen Keith in a long time, but that didn't stop her from knowing about the Kartland family moving to Golombia.
However, moving to Golombia meant Keith wouldn't have it as easy as he did in Moris City. After all, Golombia was a highly competitive place, and establishing a foothold there wasn't easy.
"Alright, stop talking about him. Just mentioning him annoys me." Sarah pouted, losing her appetite.
Evelyn got playful and winked at her. "What? Did you guys have a fight?"
"Fight? I'm not even with him." Sarah glared at her, annoyed.
This time, it was Evelyn's turn to be surprised. "After all this time, hasn't Keith still won you over?"
She thought they were already together, but apparently not.
"I'm not in the mood to think about that. I just want to get the brand up and running," Sarah said, eating her food with a bit of bitterness.
Although she didn't say it outright, Evelyn understood her thoughts. "You want to surpass your ex-husband and prove yourself before considering relationships, right?"
After a moment, Sarah nodded, admitting it.
"Sarah, there's no need for that. He's your ex-husband already. Whether he's good or bad has nothing to do with you. Why let him stop you from finding happiness?" Evelyn said helplessly, unable to resist giving advice.
