Chapter 1184: Don't Think I Don't Dare
Bella was itching to smack him a few times, but Nathaniel always had Oscar's back, so she never got the chance.
"Nathaniel, you still haven't spilled the beans about what went down back then? You forced the Calderon family to marry me off to you. You think I wanted this?" Bella was fuming. She never wanted to marry him, and now she was being called his side chick. No way she was putting up with that.
Nathaniel's face turned stormy. "You didn't want to marry me, so who did you want? Blake?"
Just 'cause he hadn't said a word on the way back didn't mean he was cool with it.
"Nathaniel, your son is straight-up disrespecting me!" Bella was livid.
"Why even bother arguing with him?" Nathaniel said, like Oscar, now twenty-two, was still a little kid in his eyes.
Bella clenched her teeth, looking at them, and suddenly got it. "I shouldn't even bother. Expecting you to explain anything is a joke. Humiliating me is better than humiliating you, right? You two are seriously gross!"
With that, Bella stormed upstairs. She wanted to bail from this nasty place, but she knew she couldn't.
Upstairs, a door slammed shut. Nathaniel's anger was still boiling. He glared at Oscar. "What do you want?"
"Oh, nothing much. Just heard there was some drama at tonight's auction and came back to check it out." Seeing Nathaniel and Bella pissed off made him pretty happy.
Nathaniel shot him a cold look. "You should be grateful you're my son; otherwise, you'd be dead a hundred times over by now!"
Bella refused to have kids with him. If he had more kids, he would've ditched a rebellious one like Oscar ages ago.
"Yeah, everyone knows you're always ruthless." Oscar sneered. "If my mom hadn't agreed to divorce you, you would've had her killed, right? Why didn't you kill me too?"
Oscar knew everything Bella had said. He wasn't a clueless kid anymore; he'd dug up a lot of dirt.
But he still hated Bella. If it weren't for her, his parents wouldn't have split, and his mom wouldn't have died.
"If you came just to say this crap, then get out." Nathaniel didn't care about any of it.
Oscar knew his words wouldn't faze Nathaniel. He just said them to feel better. "It's not just that. I also heard Bella has a daughter, and I'm really curious."
"What do you want to do?" Nathaniel finally frowned.
"I'm interested in Bella's daughter." Oscar smirked.
Upstairs, the door that had slammed shut suddenly opened. Bella, with red eyes, appeared in the hallway, staring daggers at Oscar. "If you mess with my daughter, I'll dig up your mom's grave!"
"You!" Oscar was genuinely shocked.
"Don't think I won't. Touch Evelyn, and I swear I'll do it," Bella threatened, knowing Oscar's mom was his weak spot.
Too bad she was already dead. If she weren't, Bella could've used her as leverage. Now, the only way to threaten Oscar was to dig up her grave.
