Chapter 75 Turns Out She's Not Just a Pretty Face
As the car left the airport, not far away, Kenny also received a call from Natalie. He pointed in the direction where Evelyn and the others had left and said, "That woman over there."
"She does seem to have some looks," Natalie nodded.
"I looked into her. She's a doctor at Moris Hospital, and I heard she's quite capable," Kenny shrugged, seemingly uninterested.
Natalie was a bit surprised, "Oh? Sounds like she's not just a pretty face."
It made sense. How could Dermot be interested in just a pretty face?
Opening the car door, Kenny drove while nervously saying, "Dermot called the gatekeeper of the villa early this morning and sent him away. It seems like he's not planning to continue keeping me captive."
It should be good, but he couldn't help feeling uneasy. So, as soon as he was able to go out, he rushed to the airport to pick up Natalie.
"He's planning to make a move against the Barns family," Natalie looked at her phone, where the Barns family's stocks had been plummeting since the market opened in the morning, and it was Dermot's doing.
Kenny's eyes flashed with anger, "Does he think that his Doyle family is so powerful? The Barns family is not afraid of him."
"That's true, but if they were to go head-to-head, they would both suffer losses," Natalie sighed and said, "Take me to the Doyle Group."
At Pera Restaurant.
Evelyn brought her two brothers here to eat. Inside the private room, she recounted everything that had happened recently, and Aidan and Niall listened with grim expressions.
"Cassie!" Aidan pronounced the name with a hint of killing intent in his eyes.
"Bringing down the Ackers family won't be a problem. They are already on thin ice. But as for the Barns family..." Evelyn's eyes darkened when she mentioned the Barns family.
Aidan nodded and continued, "Next, I will take care of the Kers family and bring them down, while also trying to swallow all their assets."
Right now, besides helping Evelyn get revenge, he also needs to take the opportunity to strengthen himself. This trip with Niall abroad made him realize how weak he currently is and that he can't protect the people he cares about.
"Well, I will send you the information I've collected. It should be helpful," she said.
Niall, sitting beside them, ate his food with a hint of helplessness. "I won't be of much help in the business aspects, as you both know, I'm just a rookie."
The three of them grew up together. Aidan and Evelyn were both considered geniuses, and Niall...he was somewhat skilled with computers, but couldn't compare to Evelyn. So, he didn't feel too good at the moment.
"Niall, don't you always say that being good-looking is also a skill?" Evelyn teased with a smile.
Niall smiled bitterly and helplessly replied, "Ah, now I realize that looks can't feed you."
"Alright, if you think you can't be of any help, then keep an eye on the Barns family for me. Find out what they have been up to lately, especially any new projects they have taken on," Evelyn said.
The Barns family is a massive entity, so it's unrealistic to bring them down all at once. They would have to take it slow.
"Okay," Niall nodded.
As the two were talking, Aidan glanced at his phone and frowned, "The Barns family's stocks dropped unusually this morning. There must be someone messing with them behind the scenes."
"The timing is too coincidental. Evelyn, could it be your doing?" he looked at Evelyn.
Evelyn was startled, clearly surprised, "It wasn't me."
She didn't have the ability yet to manipulate the Barns family's stocks.
"Not you?" Aidan furrowed, seemingly deep in thought.
Evelyn silently ate her meal, but in her mind, a person came to mind. Could it be him?
She was reluctant to admit it, but her rationale told her that besides Dermot, no one else would do this, and no one else had the capability.
