Chapter 1212: Have You Decided
Oscar shook his head, feeling a bit uneasy. He had no clue what was coming, but he had a bad feeling about it.
Turns out, he was way off. Nathaniel sighed and said, "I'm heading back to Kyte Manor, but this time, I might not come back. So, I gotta tell you some stuff before I go."
Oscar was floored.
Nathaniel went on, "Look, I'm not totally sold on you, but you're gonna be running the Flores family one day. We need to spend the next couple of days going over some family business."
He added, "I know you've been pissed at me for years, and I don't expect you to get it. But if I don't make it back, you gotta run the Flores family for me."
That was his life's work. Even if he died, he didn't want the Flores family to fall apart.
Oscar was still in shock, barely processing what he was hearing.
Nathaniel looked at him. "To be real with you, I have other kids besides you, but don't sweat it, they won't mess with your status."
"If something happens to me, just make sure they're taken care of, alright? Don't be too hard on them, they're family," Nathaniel continued.
That afternoon, Nathaniel unloaded a lifetime of secrets, both his own and the Flores family's. Oscar, coming out of the room later, was clearly still reeling from the bombshells.
Nathaniel just handed all the secrets to him? Why?
Could it be that he knew about his alliance with Evelyn and deliberately told him these things?
Oscar recalled Nathaniel's demeanor just now. It didn't seem like he was lying.
He was confused, not knowing whether he should continue cooperating with Evelyn.
Oscar also knew very well that if Nathaniel still went to the Kyte Manor, he would definitely not be able to come out again. Perhaps the next time he saw him would be at the police station.
He was very hesitant.
But Oscar finally made up his mind. After so many years, it was the first time he made a decision for himself. Since it had already started, there was no reason to end it now.
So, he still called Evelyn and told her that Nathaniel hadn't given up, and mentioned the matter of his will.
Evelyn somewhat understood Oscar's hesitation. "If you don't want to, you can still back out now. Anyway, he doesn't know what you've done. As long as you don't say anything, in his eyes, you're still a dutiful son."
Although it would be harder to convict Nathaniel without Oscar's testimony, it wasn't impossible. Nathaniel had killed so many people; finding evidence would be easy.
"Since it has already started, there's no reason to regret it," Oscar said.
Evelyn curled her lips. "Have you made up your mind?"
"Yes, let's proceed according to the plan," Oscar said.
After hanging up the phone, Oscar glanced at Nathaniel's room and couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.
If Nathaniel hadn't summoned him to Golombia, he wouldn't have known about his plan. This way, there might have been a chance of success.
But Nathaniel insisted on calling him from Seabrook City. With him here, how could he not know what his plan was?
By now, he leaked Nathaniel's plan to Evelyn in advance, which had already doomed Nathaniel to failure.
He held his phone, looked up at the sky, and said, "Mom, I'm finally going to avenge you. Nathaniel will join you soon, and you'll be very happy then."
