Chapter 1003 Joseph Was Isolated

David was also in a black suit tonight.

It looked good, but compared to Joseph, it fell a bit short.

Cassie thought, 'When it comes to suits, Joseph wears them best.'

Lost in thought, she noticed Joseph sensing her gaze and looking her way.

She quickly turned away, feeling a mix of guilt and anxiety, and looked at David.

She expected David to be upset, but he wasn't even looking at her. His eyes were fixed on a group of influential people nearby.

Cassie was a bit surprised. Just then, David turned to her and said, "Cassie, Laura's over there. Let's go say hi."

"Okay," Cassie agreed, thinking the same thing.

Tonight, Laura was the star of the show. She wore a stunning gown, her tall and graceful figure exuding elegance and poise.

The influential ladies surrounded her, all smiling.

When Laura saw Cassie, she approached her joyfully. "Cassie, you're here! Let me introduce you. This is my Godmother, Mrs. Jude. Godmother, this is my best friend Cassie, and her husband David."

"Mrs. Jude, nice to meet you," David said quickly and respectfully. "I'm David, the president of the Wit Group."

"Nice to meet you, David," Violet smiled and nodded, her gaze shifting to Cassie. "Laura talks about you often. Please visit the Jude family more."

"Sure, I'd like to." Cassie nodded.

Violet seemed pleased. She had seen many sycophants, but she could tell Cassie was genuine.

But David...

"You all have fun. I'll go meet a few friends," Violet said gracefully, every move exuding elegance.

"Laura, Mrs. Jude treats you well," David said, watching Violet's back with a meaningful look.

He thought, 'If I could build a good relationship with Violet, it would be great for my future.'

"Yes, Violet is very nice and amiable. The Jude family is very united," Laura praised sincerely.

David nodded. "You two must have a lot to talk about. I'll take a walk."

"Take your time," Cassie said.

After David left, Laura put her arm around Cassie's shoulder with a grin. "David is quite sensible. By the way, Joseph is here tonight too. I didn't really want to invite him, but the Jude family has a good relationship with him, so I sent him an invitation."

"I know," Cassie said, noticing not only Joseph but also people from the Chamberlain family.

"Hey, don't you think Joseph looks quite pitiful? Standing there alone, no one talking to him." Laura sighed. "Back in the day, Joseph was the center of attention wherever he went. Countless people wanted to associate with him, but now he's fallen so low."

Cassie had already noticed Joseph standing alone by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a glass of wine, with no one paying attention to him.

Although Joseph still stood out, many people were secretly watching him, but most of them were gloating.

At that moment, Cassie noticed Savannah approaching Joseph. They exchanged a few words, and then Joseph frowned and turned to leave. Suddenly, Savannah grabbed his arm and spilled her wine on her dress. She then exclaimed, "Joseph, you're too much! My dress is ruined."

The guests immediately looked over.

They recognized Savannah as the youngest daughter of the March family. Everyone knew the eldest daughter, Evelyn, had become Marcus's woman.

They quickly figured out what was going on, and someone eagerly stepped forward to ask, "Ms. March, what happened?"

Savannah pointed at Joseph with moisteyes and accused, "I saw him standing here alone and kindly went to greet him. After a few words, he started flirting with me. When I tried to leave, he grabbed my hand and wouldn't let me go. So, he spilled wine all over my dress. What can I do now?"

She finished speaking and covered her chest, sobbing.

"How shameless," Kenneth immediately pointed at Joseph and cursed. "Joseph, do you know who Savannah is? She's out of your league.

"How did the Jude family invite a scoundrel like you? Apologize to Ms. March immediately."

Everyone started chiming in, and Joseph's handsome face showed a hint of mockery.

He had been standing there resting when Savannah came up to bother him. He didn't want to be disturbed and tried to leave, but Savannah spilled wine on herself, clearly trying to frame him.

"Ms. March, before accusing me of flirting with you, please look at yourself. My standards aren't that low," Joseph said calmly. "If you want me to apologize, fine. Just pull up the surveillance footage. If it shows I'm at fault, I'll apologize."

"What's the point of checking the footage? It's obviously your fault." Kenneth sneered. "I think you know the Hernandez family is in trouble and want to rely on the March family."

"Exactly. If you don't apologize to Ms. March today, don't even think about leaving here."

A group of people surrounded Joseph, pointing and accusing him. Some remained silent, but they were all just there to watch the drama unfold. Joseph was suddenly completely isolated.

"Savannah, what's going on?" Marcus and Felix walked over together, Felix's face full of schadenfreude.

"Marcus, you're just in time. He bullied me and ruined my dress," Savannah said with red eyes.

"Joseph, you really have some nerve, flirting with a woman," Felix immediately said. "Apologize to Savannah right now, and we'll let this go."

Marcus stood beside him, his elegant face stern and imposing.

It was clear that Felix's words represented his own thoughts.

"You want me to apologize?" Joseph's delicate lips curled up, his gaze sweeping over everyone. "I'm afraid you're not qualified."

"Throw him out," Kenneth shouted.

Marcus, however, looked at everyone warmly. "Don't say that. After all, he was invited by the Jude family."

"So what? He must leave. He has no right to stay here."

Many people stepped forward and started pushing Joseph.

Not far away, Laura sighed. "Whether Joseph is wronged or not doesn't matter. They just want to see him embarrassed."

"Laura, go help him out," Cassie sighed and finally said to her.
