Chapter 1006 Cassie, Don't Push Me
"Joseph, what do you want?" Cassie sighed, feeling helpless. "Do you even realize how bad your reputation is right now? If people find out I'm staying with you, they'll get the wrong idea."
Joseph looked down, the moonlight streaming through the window, highlighting his straight nose and thick eyelashes. Even in his thirties, the way he pressed his thin lips together made him look like a pitiful young man in his early twenties.
Cassie remembered what Laura had said tonight. 'Joseph is always the man I loved. Although I used to hate him, seeing him down and bullied makes me feel sad. I feel a slight pity for the current Joseph. No, I can't think like this anymore. What should I do?'
Cassie bent down, trying to slip out from under his arm. But Joseph's arm tightened, pulling her into his embrace. This time, they were pressed tightly together.
"Joseph, you're so annoying." Cassie was completely angry, but she couldn't raise her voice. Even when she was mad, she could only speak softly, "You say you're impotent, yet you keep pestering me. What do you want? You're so selfish. I should have had someone throw you out earlier."
Joseph's eyelashes trembled, and his eyes brightened. "So it was you who asked Laura to help?"
Cassie bit her lip in frustration and said irritably, "I was just being kind, okay? Besides, I saw Savannah framing you. I may not like you, but I'm not that despicable."
"So you've been secretly watching me," Joseph said with a light smile.
Cassie felt flustered and hurried to explain, "I just happened to see it. Besides, even if it wasn't you, if it were another man, I would have done the same."
"Would you pay attention to another man?" Joseph raised his hand thoughtfully and touched her smooth cheek. "Cassie, if I were healthy, even if I weren't the richest man in Madison, I wouldn't let go of you."
A trace of pain flashed in his eyes. After a moment, he took a pill from his pocket and handed it to her. "Take this, and I'll let you go."
Cassie took it inexplicably and saw that it was a birth control pill. She was stunned for a moment, then angrily threw it at his face. "Joseph, why are you giving me this? Are you crazy?"
"Take it," Joseph picked up the pill, grabbed her wrist, and said firmly. "I won't let you have David's child."
As Cassie and David lived together, Joseph couldn't stop her from being with David all the time, so this was the only way.
Cassie widened her eyes, pondering, 'Does he think I slept with David?'
She was speechless but didn't want to tell him the truth.
"You're crazy. David and I are married. Whether we have a child is none of your business." Cassie struggled for a long time but couldn't break free. She angrily kicked Joseph.
Joseph dodged and warned, "Are you sure you want to fight me here? I don't mind my reputation, but you should consider your and David's."
"You are shameless." Cassie glared at him.
She really shouldn't have softened her heart towards Joseph.
"Cassie, take it. If you do, I'll let you go." Joseph held the pill up to her mouth.
It was just a pill, and taking it wouldn't affect Cassie much, but she didn't want to give in to his threat.
"Why should I take it just because you say so? I won't. What can you do about it?" Cassie threw the pill to the ground and glared at him.
Joseph clenched his fists, his thick eyebrows furrowing tightly. "Cassie, don't push me."
"What are you..." Before Cassie could finish, Joseph kissed her.
Her lips were still as soft as before, like jelly. Joseph didn't know what brand of lipstick she wore tonight, but it smelled good. He initially just wanted to force her, but once he kissed her, he couldn't stop.
Cassie widened her eyes. When she came to her senses, she pushed his chest hard. However, he kissed her more passionately. She angrily pinched him with her fingers.
Joseph hissed in pain but didn't stop kissing her.
At that moment, the laughter of several men came from outside the door. "David, your tea-making skills are impressive."
"It's an honor to show my tea-making skills in front of Mr. Dixon." David's voice sounded at the door.
Cassie's heart jumped in fear. At this moment, Joseph kissed her even more intensely. His hand held her waist, and he said in a hoarse voice, "If you want David to find out, you can call out."
Would she dare to call out? If David came in and saw Joseph kissing her, she really couldn't explain it.
Seeing Cassie stay quiet, Joseph cupped her face and kissed her wantonly. He knew he was being excessive, selfish, and despicable. But once he kissed her, he couldn't stop.
In the dim light, Joseph's deep breathing echoed in her ears. Cassie was so nervous. She only prayed that David would leave quickly so she could push him away. But slowly, her consciousness was drawn away by Joseph's breathing. The voices of the people outside the door gradually faded away.
Until, in a daze, her phone suddenly rang. She was startled and quickly pushed Joseph away. Joseph, who was deeply engrossed, was caught off guard and took two steps back.
She hurriedly took out her phone. Seeing David's name, she panicked. She didn't dare to answer, so she put it on silent and quickly put it back in her pocket, reaching to open the door. She didn't dare to stay here any longer.
"Are you sure you want to go out like this?" Joseph's hoarse and sexy voice sounded from behind.
Her body stiffened. She was confused for a moment, then looked down and saw that one side of her dress strap had been pulled down, exposing a large part of her chest. Her charming face instantly turned red.
She raised her hand and slapped him in the face. "You pervert."
"Yes, I'm a pervert." Joseph pressed his tongue against the sore spot in his mouth. He walked closer step by step, placing his hands on either side of her head.
