Chapter 796

"Thanks. I don't want to be your guinea pig, afraid of being poisoned by you." Cassie commented on Joseph's cooking skills, which she had witnessed and found to be very poor.

"In that case, let me take you to a movie." Joseph added.

"No, i refuse," Cassie answered.

Cassie directly hung up the phone, knowing she shouldn't have done that according to the plan, but she was still angry when she thought about what happened last night.

In the CEO's office on the other side, Joseph looked at the disconnected phone with a hint of dissatisfaction.

Joseph turned on the computer but couldn't focus. He didn't drive straight to school until three in the afternoon.

The security guard at the entrance recognized Joseph and let him walk smoothly to the classroom.

The children had just woken up from their nap, and everyone was drinking juice. Sophia was sitting side by side with a boy in a white shirt. The boy was reading, and Sophia sneakily took a sip of the boy's juice.

The boy looked up, frowned, and gave Sophia a warning look.

Sophia stuck out her tongue mischievously.

When Sophia heard Joseph's voice outside the French window, she was so scared that she almost bit her tongue.

Following Sophia's gaze, Oliver also looked outside, and his heart trembled fiercely.

Oliver thought, 'Oh no, Joseph saw my face. Mommy had said that my face looked a lot like hers.'

At that moment, Oliver couldn't control the paleness of his face.

Joseph, standing outside, was also shocked.

When Joseph noticed the boy next to Sophia, he felt a bit familiar with his face. Still, upon closer inspection, he found that this face bore a striking resemblance to Cassie, almost like a miniature version of Cassie, except that the boy's eyebrows were sharper.

As Sophia sat next to this boy, Joseph's mind was filled with all sorts of incredible thoughts.

If the twins had been around, if it had been a boy and a girl back then, Joseph's child would have looked like this.

How could everything be so coincidental?

"Uncle Joseph, why are you here?" At this moment, Sophia ran out, her little face filled with unease.

"Sophia, what's the name of the boy you were playing with just now?" Joseph squatted down and asked in a low voice.

"He's Oliver." Sophia tilted her head in confusion. "Why are you asking him?"

"Don't you think he looks like... Aunt Cassie?" Joseph found his hand trembling uncontrollably.

"Yeah. That's why I felt a sense of familiarity with Oliver. We played well together. So he is my best friend," Sophia said with a smile.

Joseph averted his gaze. "You go inside and play for a while. Uncle Joseph will come to pick you up later."

"Okay." Sophia was made very nervous by Joseph.

After going inside, Oliver ran over, his voice tense. "What did he say?"

"Joseph seems to be suspicious." Sophia was at a loss and answered.

Oliver frowned and replied, "Don't worry. Mommy prepared me well before sending me here."
