Chapter 825

"If you weren't useful to me, I would have dumped a woman like you who is inconsistent long ago," Lucas warned fiercely, "In the future, stay out of trouble and keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, you can forget about acting again in your lifetime."

Sarah nodded obediently with a pale face.

Since Cassie ruined Sarah's reputation last time, she hadn't received any new roles in these months except for participating in some small shows. She was relying on Lucas.

"Lucas, I have something to say, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate," Sarah hesitated to speak.

"If you think it's inappropriate, then keep quiet," Lucas reprimanded.

"No, I'm just puzzled," Sarah gritted her teeth and had to finish saying this, "Mr. Hernandez was so cruel to Cassie before. He confined her, took away her children, and even had her committed to a mental institution. If I were she, I would never forgive Mr. Hernandez. So how can Cassie suddenly... reconcile with Mr. Hernandez now? Doesn't Cassie feel uncomfortable about it?"

"What exactly do you want to say?" Lucas narrowed his eyes.

Sarah was startled, saying, "I'm afraid Cassie is now seeking revenge on Mr. Hernandez. This is just my intuition as a woman. I don't mean to frame Cassie intentionally. I'm just afraid that Mr. Hernandez will get too deeply involved and get hurt."

"Go order some food," Lucas coldly glanced over and demanded.

"Okay." Sarah nodded and hurriedly went out to call the waiter.

As soon as Sarah mentioned, Lucas also found this matter quite weird.

At nine o'clock in the evening, a sports car parked in the Willow Creek Estates parking lot.

Cassie unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to get out of the car when Joseph suddenly reached out and grabbed her. His throat moved slightly, but he was unsure of what to say.

Originally, they were having a pleasant meal, but after Sarah caused trouble, Joseph and Cassie both fell into a persistent silence.

"Cassie, I'm sorry..." Joseph was truly full of regret and apologized. If he had known he would fall in love with Cassie later, he would never have been so heartless back then.

"Do you still hate me now?" he then continued.

"It's impossible not to hate you," Cassie's eyes trembled and complained, sadness evident in her eyes, "Over the years spent abroad, whenever I thought of those two children, I wished to bite into your flesh. When I came back, I did so with the intention of not letting you have a peaceful life. But when you forced me to divorce, I found myself powerless to resist you. Now that you're pursuing me again, I'm conflicted and uneasy. Sometimes I want to be with you again, but sometimes I'm afraid..."

Before Cassie could finish her words, Joseph had already forcefully pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly, and emphasized "It won't happen again. Believe me, I won't hurt you again. It was my fault before. Cassie, let's have another pair of twins in the future, okay?"

Cassie smiled wryly and said, "It's impossible to have twins so easily."

"Then let's have two; our daughters must be as cute as Sophia." As soon as he said this, Joseph suddenly wanted to have a child that belonged to both of them.

"Sophia..." Cassie repeated.

She chuckled inwardly. Sophia was originally Joseph's daughter.
But Cassie would never let Joseph know. Someone like Joseph was not worthy of being a father.

"Let's talk about it later," she sighed and raised her eyes, "You haven't eaten much tonight. Are you hungry? I'll go upstairs and cook for you."

Joseph's eyes lit up. He thought Cassie would remember those unhappy things from the past, and he was quite uneasy, but Cassie was still concerned about his stomach.

Especially on a night like this, when Cassie invited Joseph upstairs, he didn't really want to leave.

After going upstairs, Cassie took out the leftovers from yesterday and made him a hamburger and a hot dog, adding ham, corn kernels, and vegetables inside.

The whole room became fragrant because of the hamburger and hot dog.

Joseph ate both the hamburger and hot dog directly. He used to be picky, saying that Cassie was just going through the motions by only making him hamburgers and hot dogs.. But now he wasn't picky anymore. Just having something to eat was enough for him.
