The next day, Laura found out Violet was planning to set Derek up with some girls.
Violet had picked out seven photos and asked Laura to help her choose.
"Laura, which one do you think looks best?" Violet asked, looking a bit overwhelmed. "I spent ages picking these out."
Laura leaned in and scrolled through the photos on Violet's phone. She had to admit, they were all stunning.
If Laura were a guy, she'd definitely be jealous of Derek.
"Godmother, they all have their own unique charm. It really depends on what kind of daughter-in-law you want and what kind of girl Derek likes," Laura said, unable to decide herself. She joked, "If I were a guy, I'd want them all, ha ha."
Violet chuckled. "Even though you're not a guy, with your current status, you can have any young man you like."
Laura was taken aback and stammered, "Th-this isn't right. If word gets out, it might affect the reputation of the Presidential Palace."
"What's wrong with it? Men can keep finding young and beautiful women after a divorce, so why can't women?" Violet said confidently. "Carl and I visited the royal family of Yugrot recently. The divorced princess there often changes boyfriends, and each one is young and handsome. The news in Yugrot often reports on it, and no one criticizes her. In fact, many women are very envious. Joseph's complaint made Laura feel both amused and a bit exasperated. She could only say, "I just talked to the employees outside. It's clear that since Cassie took over DreamDazzle Beauty Co, she's done a much better job than I did in both market and management aspects. I think this position should be handed over to Cassie. In the elevator, she leaned her face against Joseph's shoulder. "Don't be upset. I spend every evening with you after work. Besides, Laura just had a baby and got divorced. She has to earn money and take care of the kid without a man to rely on. I understand how that feels, so I want to help her through this tough time."
"Cassie, you don't have to say it. I remember the past. I'm actually grateful that Laura was there for you during that time."
