Chapter 1800 I Got the Short End of the Stick

Cassie deeply agreed.

Some men were truly bad.

"So Nina, are you planning to avenge Bernice?" Cassie asked.

Nina nodded, "I plan to avenge Bernice."

"No wonder you suddenly attended the charity event at the Enchanted Forest Hotel a few days ago," Laura became interested. "Are you planning to use his own methods against him?"

"What do you think?" Nina was actually unsure.

Laura glared at Cassie, "In this area, Cassie has a lot of experience. She once tried to use this method to get back at Joseph, wanting Joseph to fall deeply in love with her and then ruin his relationship with Megan. But in the end, she hurt herself, and Joseph ended up marrying Megan."

Cassie was embarrassed, "My situation was different. I had feelings for Joseph. When I wanted to get back at him, I couldn't control myself. But Nina is different; she doesn't like Gary. If she uses this method to get back at Lucas, I definitely don't agree."

Mentioning Lucas made both Cassie and Laura tense up.

"Nina," Laura asked tentatively, "do you still hate Lucas? Did you join the Nelson Group to get back at Lucas?"

"I want to disgust him, to get back at him," Nina sighed, "I know my own abilities. Lucas is so ruthless that he might drag me to hell with him."

"I think so, too," Cassie agreed, "But can you really let it go? Even though Lucas was used by Megan, he was the one who hired a lawyer to send you to prison."

Nina silently pressed her red lips together.

She wasn't really sure either.

After all, every time she faced Lucas, she felt like a porcupine with all its quills raised, her heart, usually calm as still water, boiling with hatred.

Seeing this, Laura said, "Hasn't Lucas already been disgraced? Everyone knows his true nature now. And Nina, with your own efforts, you've made the Nelson Group much weaker. I heard from Derek that the Nelson Group has to give up at least fifty percent of the market, and many people in the country are boycotting the Nelson Group's hospitals."

"I heard that, too," Cassie said, "And Lucas can't act recklessly like before. His ambition to enter the entertainment industry has been completely crushed. His future won't be as smooth as it used to be."

"Let's not talk about him," Nina didn't really want to mention Lucas.

"Alright," Cassie nodded, "Actually, I have another question. Why did you become Reborn?"

Nina smiled calmly, "That was a name I made for myself when I was studying in Austin before I went to prison. I was very interested in finance and got many related certificates there. But my dad insisted I come back to take over the company. After I returned to the country, I didn't use that identity until I met you guys. After I went to prison, the name Nina became that of a criminal, but Reborn abroad did not."

Laura was very moved, "Nina, you weren't honest with us. You only told us about your big identity today."

"Telling you wouldn't have made a difference; you guys aren't short of money," Nina laughed, "To me, money is easy to earn, but power is not something you can easily come by. After I woke up in Bernice's body and returned to Austin, I took out the safety deposit box I had in the bank. I made some money using the identity of Reborn. Fortunately, I always wore a mask, so no one has seen Reborn's true face."

"I see," Cassie understood and smiled mysteriously, "I think you have more than just the identity of Reborn."

Nina was stunned and helpless, "This is my last identity. I am a major shareholder behind Stellar Entertainment Group."

"No wonder Stellar Entertainment Group has been doing so well recently," Laura suddenly felt defeated. "I always thought my DreamDazzle Beauty Co. was doing well, but compared to you guys, I'm the least successful."

"How are you not successful?" Nina teased with a smile, "You might become the First Lady someday."

"Yeah," Cassie deeply agreed.

"Forget it, I'm not really interested. It's too tiring. I still prefer hanging out with my friends."

After Laura finished speaking, she patted the table, "To celebrate our good friend's rebirth, shouldn't we have a drink?"

"Drinking is fine, but don't get drunk. Don't reveal my identity," Nina reminded.

"I understand," Laura quickly zipped her lips, "Only the three of us know about this."

"Actually, there's one more person who knows."

"Who?" Laura and Cassie asked in unison.

"Milan," Nina said, facing her friends' suddenly ambiguous looks, she awkwardly explained, "He, Bernice, and I were childhood friends. He was the first to notice the change in Bernice and see through my identity. Over the years, he has helped me a lot, even hiring the bodyguards at the door."

"You two are something," Laura hummed in a strange tone, "Nina, you're quite the actress. When Derek wanted to introduce Milan to you, you two pretended to meet for the first time."

"His identity is special; it's not suitable for him to be too close to me," Nina explained helplessly.

"Does he like you?" Cassie gossiped.

Laura pulled her chair closer, "Nina, let me tell you, I used to think that after having sex with Michael, it wouldn't be right to be with another man. But after I took a bold step, I found that having sex feels really good and enjoyable."

Nina was speechless.

"Experienced people are indeed different," Cassie said sourly, "I've only had sex with Joseph in my life. I feel like I've missed out."

"That's not what I meant," Laura blushed, "Actually, many women have a mindset of being with one person for life. Nina might have only had sex with Lucas, so her feelings are complicated. But there's no need to be so conflicted. Boldly have sex; it's nothing. Life is about enjoyment."

Nina was silent.

Laura was so bold that it made Nina seem very conservative.

Cassie: "If you find someone good at sex, it really is a kind of enjoyment."

Nina coughed.

Weren't they supposed to be listening to her reveal her identity?
