Chapter 1732 He Really Misunderstood Her Too Much

The elders want them to have a wedding back home. Rose was looking up good hotels back home all night. Now, they feel like they have no involvement at all.

Seeing this, Julia gently said, "My relationship with Elliott and Laura is quite complicated. I think it's better to have a low-key wedding abroad."

Luke and Rose were reminded and suddenly realized they had forgotten about this.

"That works too," Luke nodded, feeling relieved.

To be honest, he felt quite pressured facing Julia. Her aura was much stronger than James's, making him feel like he was chatting with Violet.

Now, with Julia's relaxed tone, he felt at ease.

Rose cleared her throat. "What about your parents?"

She didn't continue, but everyone understood what she meant.

Elliott also looked at Julia.

Julia brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, "I'll persuade them to come. If they don't want to, that's up to them. I'll take care of them when they're sick, but I won't sacrifice my happiness to repay them anymore."

These words were not just for the Miller family but, more importantly, for Elliott.

Elliott's eyes trembled as he tightly held her hand, his gaze filled with nothing but her.

Anyone who didn't know better would think they were a couple who had been forcibly separated for years.

Luke, being the head of the family, awkwardly said, "Since you and Elliott are married, we won't say anything more. Just live well together. We're not that old-fashioned."

"Thank you," Julia smiled sweetly.

Luke suddenly shivered, then nodded comfortably.

This was great. If their business partners knew that Julia had become his son's wife, they would be extremely envious.

Laura silently facepalmed. Luke was shameless. Last night, he and Rose were sighing and coming up with ideas to separate the two.

But today, after just one meeting, he was as obedient as could be.

But she could understand. She wouldn't dare act out either.

So, the meal was unexpectedly harmonious.

As they spent time together, Rose found that Julia wasn't as intimidating as she thought. She spoke gently, with a smile in her eyes.

She had worried that Elliott's wife would be just like him, or even more arrogant. Now she realized she had overthought it.

After the meal, Rose said, "Julia, our house is quite lively. The entire third floor is Elliott's, decorated to his marriage standards. You can come and stay whenever you want."

"Okay," Julia nodded.

This was her first time having a meal at the Miller Manor, and she felt the different atmosphere.

The Miller family chatted and shared interesting stories during meals. Maeve was adorable, making it feel like any other warm, ordinary family.

This was something Julia had never experienced. At Whispering Pines Manor, Eric and James were strict, and meal conversations were always about boring work.

Here, she felt relaxed.

No wonder Derek always liked coming to the Miller Manor for meals.

"After dinner, take Julia upstairs to have a look," Rose reminded.

"Yes," Elliott nodded. He would have done it even without Rose's suggestion.

After dinner, Elliott took Julia upstairs for a tour.

First, they visited the second floor, where Maeve and Laura lived. The third floor was his bedroom, study, children's room, and flower room.

The floor he lived on was especially clean, spotless.

But when Julia saw a newly decorated children's room, her expression turned a bit strange.

"My mom insisted on decorating it last year," Elliott explained. "She said I would get married sooner or later."

"That's nice," Julia nodded, looking around seriously.

Although Elliott had personally overseen the renovation, he hadn't paid much attention to it. But seeing Julia's serious expression now, he suddenly felt a special sense of satisfaction and anticipation.

"Do you like it?" He gently hugged her from behind and asked in her ear.

"What if I say I don't?" Julia leaned into his embrace and asked with a low laugh.

"I'll tear down the third floor and redecorate it until you like it," Elliott said without hesitation.

"No need," Julia couldn't help but laugh. "You spent a lot on this renovation. I can't ask you to tear it down and pave it with gold bricks."

Elliott finally relaxed, "So, would you be willing to come and stay here with me sometimes?"

Julia turned around, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Do you think I don't want to stay with your parents?"

"Not really," Elliott thought for a moment and admitted, "I'm afraid you won't feel comfortable."

"Elliott, I'm not that cold-hearted. Your parents only have you as their son. Laura will get married in the future. If we always live outside, it wouldn't be good for them to move from Silverwood to Whisperlyn City and live alone."

Julia explained seriously, "I didn't mention it before because you were very unhappy with me at that time. If I had moved in right after getting the marriage certificate, you would have treated me coldly. Your parents would have looked down on me, and I would have felt isolated."

"Julia, I'm sorry, really sorry. From now on, I'll treat you wholeheartedly."

Elliott felt his heart ache and melt at the same time.

He realized he had misunderstood her too much.

"Besides, if we have kids in the future, we'll need the elders to help take care of them," Julia playfully tilted her head and smiled. "How about this: if we want some alone time, we can stay at my place. Most of the time, we can stay here. How about that?"

"Okay."

Elliott's usually cold face couldn't help but show a hint of excitement.

He cupped her face and greedily pressed her onto his big bed, kissing her passionately.

"Elliott, stop!" Julia was startled.

Although they were married, this was her first time at the Miller Manor. They had just come up for a tour, and now he was pressing her onto the bed. It was too embarrassing.

Besides, the door seemed to be slightly ajar when they came in.

"No, you're my wife. My room is your room."

Elliott was in a passionate mood, wanting nothing more than to kiss her thoroughly on his bed.

Julia initially resisted, but Elliott's passion was a bit overwhelming.

Gradually, she felt a bit lightheaded from his kisses.

In the hallway, Laura was sent by Rose to bring up some cut fruit. As she approached the door, she saw Elliott's eager demeanor and was so startled that the words she was about to say got stuck in her throat.

Blushing, she quickly turned and left.
